Is John Stamos Replacing Charlie Sheen on 'Two and a Half Men'?

Last week, John Stamos shot down rumors that he was in talks to replace Charlie Sheen on 'Two and a Half Men.' But those rumors have rekindled, and there might be some more truth to them this time.

According to E! Online, CBS chief Les Moonves chatted with Stamos on Saturday about possibly joining the network's hit sitcom.

"They were at the bar talking, and Les asked John if he'd be interested in replacing Charlie," a source told E! "It wouldn't be to play Charlie's character, but they talked more about introducing a new character."

On Friday, though, Stamos tweeted, "Contrary to the rumors, I am not replacing Charlie Sheen on 'Two and a Half Men.' However, Martin Sheen has asked me to be his son."

Sheen responded to rumors that the studio was angling to bring in Stamos as a replacement for him.

"If they do that then they deserve their failures and the follies," he told TMZ.

Stamos has been sorely underused in his 'Glee' guest spot as the dentist husband of guidance counselor Emma, so maybe there's something to this rumor. E! reports that Stamos' conversation with Moonves lasted about 15 minutes, but more formal talks haven't taken place.

Sheen doesn't need replaced. The rest of the cast can varry the show just fine.
Saying nothing about Sheen's ability, but his character is a one trick pony.

If Emilio Estavez loses weight and dyes his hair black he could play the part and look just like Charlie. Of course he would have to ask Charlie if it is o.k. I doubt Charlie would agree but then again you never know. If he can't have it and the show goes on, he might want his brother to have it over somebody not in the family.

At this point in time, Charlie's career still has a chance to recover, but only if he chooses to recover and realize that the booze and drugs aren't helping him. He needs to get his ego reined in.

Charlie Sheen has a very large ego that is why he needs porn stars and drugs to try to get it up. I say yes to John Stamos!! I say bring him in as a long lost half-brother or cousin to John Cryer. I think there's alot of potential there. Sheen is done. He can go live with his "godesses" (that is until all the money is gone, of course...then they will be gone, too). At that point, if he's not dead, maybe he'll finally get some psychiatric help. The writers of 2 1/2 Men will and can continue the show without Charlie.
