Charlie Sheen: 'I Don't Know Where My Children Are'

Charlie Sheen appeared live on the 'Today' show Wednesday to speak out about his alleged death threats toward estranged wife Brooke Mueller and why the authorities took away his two young sons Tuesday night.

Sheen allegedly threatened Mueller, saying, "I will cut your head off, put it in a box and send it to your mom." The threat prompted Mueller's lawyer to get a temporary restraining order against Sheen, preventing him from seeing her or their twin boys, Bob and Max.

Cops removed the twins, who turn 2 years old this month, from his LA home without incident Tuesday night. Watch the video inside!

"They were just being put to bed, and my assistant informed me that the police were coming down to issue a restraining order."

He went upstairs to get the children, and the handover happened in a calm manner, according to Sheen.

"I didn't push it because I'm not into resisting the law and just had to surrender to it, knowing that this is now the challenge I claim to be looking for, and I'm more than willing to take on this task," he said. "If anyone thought my focus was direct in a radical capacity, that's going to seem like child's play."

He added that the cops didn't have car seats, so he provided them to ensure the safety of his children.

"I said, 'I love you,' and I said, 'Don't say goodbye, say see ya later,' and later, as we believe to be very soon," Sheen said.

He said at this time, he doesn't know where his children are.

"That's a really good point," he said, turning to his lawyer. "Isn't there some sort a legal protection, or some law that should inform the father where his children are being removed and delivered to?"

His lawyer replied in the affirmative and that the silence from Mueller's legal team was "conspicuous."

"I stupidly assumed that they were going back to the house they had been living in with Brooke when they're not with me," Sheen said. "And I think we got reports last night they were in a hotel in Santa Monica ... At this moment, on live television, I do not know where my children are, but I'm not panicking."

"This is not about emotions, not about ego -- it's about getting very focused, getting very much in touch with what I have to do to complete the task of bringing these two beautiful young men back to the home they deserve to be raised in," he continued. "There's more love, compassion, support, childcare and everything else you could possibly want for a child here in this lovely home -- it's not a house, it's a home."

In response to his alleged death threat toward Mueller, Sheen said, "It's colorful," then denied he ever made the comment. "That's a good one I guess. I guess if you spend enough time around me you can formulate things and make them sound like they came from my mouth. You can do that watching reruns."

He invited court-appointed monitors, Mueller, a legal team -- anyone -- to come over to his house to observe the situation at home. "There's nothing to hide, there's nothing but love and compassion and absolute support for these amazing children," he said.

"Regardless of what people offer in terms of support or opinion based on preconceived whatever, it's a 100,000 better than what's going to be delivered or offered in her house."

He says he's absolutely ready to sit down with Mueller and her team for negotiations regarding custody of the twins, but he has yet to receive a phone call from her or anyone on her legal team.

Sheen had a message for Mueller, which he checked to make sure wasn't in violation of the restraining order.

"I'm sorry you felt that this had to be done in this way, but this does not display any responsible parenting in anything that I'm familiar with, and the cooler and smarter and leveler heads can prevail, and I urge you to reach out to me, immediately if not sooner and tell me where our sons are."

And for Bob and Max, Sheen sent a message straight from his heart.

"Bob, Max -- it's 'Dada.' I'll see you very soon."

While Sheen and his legal team will not be in court today, they plan on making sure everyone has notice when they do go to settle this new custody battle.

Geez, I have been there with a kid and Alanon helped alot. Martin is there for Chralie, but its charlie that must want help.

Charlie,
First of all I have seen way to many women abuse the "system" to do exactly what is going on in your case. Second, what you do in your personal life ie. relationships, etc. is/should be exactly that..personal. Third, I am not a television watcher (consider it really stupid for stupid people without a life) but I will stop and watch Two Men and love it, and feel that it is a great show and it is you that makes it that way!

It's so sad. He's such a talented actor and Two and a Half Men is such a great show. I feel bad for the other actors on the show who didn't do anything wrong who have to sit and wait, and wonder if the show will go on. Talk about having the whole world and throwing it away. I'm a fan of Charlie Sheen as an actor, and of his show, but not of him as a person. He's crazy, but that's what drugs do to you.

OMG What an ego! Why did they think it was a good idea to pay him 2 million dollars an epidode? That just feeds right into his ego. He denied all the bad things he was accused of, he doesn't think he does anything wrong. He thinks he is the best at sex and he found only the best girls at sex from porn, WOW. This guy needs a lot of help. I wasn't going to watch the interview and now I am glad I did and yea, I would have my kids outa there too!

As usual the authorities as well as certain individuals i dare not name blow everything totally out of proportion. You can't even express yourself openly without being silenced by the media or by ex wives ect. What Charlie said about his exwife was out of context im sure. People say outlandish phrases not meaning to actually carry out such things. Sure Charlie has a arrogant way about him and im sure he is quite pissed off about alot of things but when it all boils down to is if your a public figure if you have problems about anything you should tone the language down a bit so as to not alarm anyone . Im glad he is going for treatment thats a plus but i pray seriously that he really think out what he wants to do with his life for the future of himself as well as his kids. He doesnt need two girlfriends. He needs self dicipline as well as a good look at the best fix it manual around on this planet. It's called the bible. I'm not a bible thumpin son of a onion going around condemning this person and that but I'd like to give Charlie a real opportunity to not only know who he is but also know there is a higher power up there in the heavens that cares for him even now as we speak trying to reach out to him and help him. Please take my advice and slow down with all the antics and think whats best for you and your kids. They need you charlie, do you need them? If the answer is yes then seek out your parents and family and real down to earth friends and spend some quality time with them and tell them whats bothering you . I know it will help you charlie and i'm saying this as a friend as well. We all need someone to rely on when things get scarey out in the real world. Relying just on yourself and your money isn't going to cut it and you know this is so true. I hope for the best for everyone as well..... God bless you all......

Regarding C. Sheen:

Thank goodness the authorities removed those twin boys from CS's custody. Now, why isn't he being arrested for cocaine/illegal drug use and/or possession like the rest of us would be? That is the whole problem with these celeb-types! They live by different rules! Lastly, other than Nevada, where is prostitution legal? Why aren't these people in jail?

of course he is in trouble .. he has to get him self balanced .. he is not dealing with a normal person as the the Mother of those Children is not there either .. why would they be with Charlie in the first place .. you see where Denise's Children are .. its ridiculous that they have to use a threat to get the Children where has she been out to lunch... you bethcha she was and is .. its pitiful have everything in this world to afford those 2 innocent children and two selfish parents are without them today and what are those lit'l Guys thinking .. this is heartbreaking the worse so far ... Charlie Sheen can act as good as or better then any Actor out there. I just think he can't tell when he is on screen or off. To much money along with to much Crack, at least I think. Like someone needs to put a pinch of "Shut the F**k up" in his Crack pipe before its to late.. Somebody help him!

Charlie Sheen looks like an old man. He has chosen drugs to rule his life. He had it made and blew it. I don't know if he is doing this two women triangle for publicity but if he is it has backfired. This is not the environment one should provide when rearing children. I feel sorry for his sons to have such a jerk for a father. Unfortunately anyone who is fertile can have children. I hope the media frenzy over this man will soon be over. We don't hear much about Brittany Spears anymore so it is just a matter of time and old Charlie will be just another hollywood story put to bed.

Anyone can see that he is in big trouble. The first step is admitting you have a problem. His face says it all. He doesn't even look like himself. Get help Charlie! If he doesn't, he won't be around to much longer.

I agree, but, from what I have seen and heard, Charlie is far from being able to take the first step. I am afraid, that in his case, he needs to hit rock bottom. Until the money runs out, and other things happen to wake him up, I do not see this happening. I am only guessing that an OD is more likely in his case.
