Nick Cannon Reveals Chelsea Handler Fight Was Over Her Comments on Mariah Carey

When Nick Cannon and Chelsea Handler had a much publicized Twitter feud back in October, many thought it was because of a wisecrack Handler took at the expectant father. But to hear Cannon tell the story, it all started with comments the comedian made about his wife, Mariah Carey.

When Handler tweeted the joke, "I just heard Nick Cannon is starting a comedy tour. Who's going to do the comedy?" it resulted in an onslaught of replies from Nick Cannon, including a rather controversial tweet calling Handler, Eminem and Howard Stern "ugly white trash."

The two eventually cleared the air and spoke in person when Handler called into Cannon's radio show. Speaking this morning to John Katsilometes on the radio show 'Kats With the Dish,' Cannon revealed a few more details about the spat.

"For a while ... she was constantly on her show, kind of picking on me and my wife. You can say what you want about me, but when you start talking about my wife, I get a little sensitive," he admitted. "Hey, that's my family, you know? The protective lion comes out." Cannon went on to reveal he might have gone a bit too far in his response: "I said some things that I don't really regret, but that were a little harsh, and we went back-and-forth."

In happier news, Cannon and Mariah Carey have recently announced they are expecting one boy and one girl in their twin bundle, but they haven't decided names yet.

"We believe we have them, but you never know until you actually name them," Cannon told Katsilometes. "I have vetoed a few names, but don't know until you actually see them in person. Maybe we'll come up with something new. We'll know on the day they are born."

she's spot on. nick cannon is about as funny as a truckload of dead babies. at the same time, i think he'd make a perfect addition to the cast of tyler perry's "house of payne". lots of minstrelling, yelling and not a laugh to be had.

Chelsea sure isn't a crystal ball herself...just a smut talker and agitator. Regardless of how funny Cannon is or isn't he did the right thing speaking up for his wife. He stood up as her man like a man. Who stood up for Chelsea...not 50 cents that's for sure.

It would appear that Nick Cannon has joined the ranks of celebrity racists. I wonder if he regrets referring to those people as white trash. You can bet he'd have something to say if anyone made a remark about his race or the fact that his wife is confused about hers. She is clearly just as white as she is anything else and yet she chooses to only focus on her black heritage. They're both ignorant.

Okay first off, I am white, so no one can use that I'm racist on here. Secondly, I call fellow white people white trash all the time when I see it. Why can't an African American be given the same liberties with speech as I am?

Nick Cannon, and his wife, are extremely annoying. She is a little prima donna, I guess I can't say "little" anymore, who thinks she is still what she was 10 years or so ago. She's not. I saw her on an interview where she was acting like she is the first and only woman to carry twins. And seriously, how does she sleep with him without feeling like a child molester? He looks like he's 16 years old. Chelsea Handler is right, he's not funny and would be nothing without his hipopotamus, I mean, wife. And no, not just because she's pregnant. She blew up a while ago and looks horrible trying to stuff it in little outfits.

Nick Cannon did exactly the right thing- he defended his Wife. That is what real men do and by the way Nick Cannon is a multi-millionaire in his own right, the man had money before he met Mariah. What happened to the time when it was ok to defend your partner against an atack, whether physical or verbal. Every woman experiences pregnancy different, it carrying twins is harder on her for what ever reason who are you or anyone else to critize that.
