Lindsay Lohan Shocked to Learn Dad Is Going to 'Celebrity Rehab'

Lindsay Lohan was reportedly shocked and upset when she heard that her father, Michael Lohan, signed up for the latest season of 'Celebrity Rehab.'

TMZ reports that Lindsay told her friends that she was worried her father would embarrass the family on the show.

It is also reported that Michael never gave a heads-up to Lindsay, of his decision to do 'Rehab,' which upset the 24-year-old actress.

RadarOnline.com reports that Michael checked into 'Celebrity Rehab' to be treated for anger management issues and not for an addiction.

A source told Radar, "Michael is absolutely 100 percent sober. He hasn't been using drugs or alcohol, but he is being treated for anger management issues. Michael has tremendous admiration for Dr. Drew, and was given this opportunity to better himself, and he took it."

The show insider is reported saying, "Michael wants to deal with his anger issues in a controlled environment. He wants to be a positive role model for his children, and he has a lot of unresolved feelings of anger toward Dina, and that needs to be dealt with."

The insider continues, "Producers of the show are hoping that Lindsay, Dina and the other children would consider appearing on the show for family counseling, if they are comfortable in doing so. Dr. Drew wants to help heal this family and just get them sitting down in the same room, that would be the first step."

'Celebrity Rehab' has been trying to get Lindsay on the show for years, but she has adamantly refused to make an appearance.

Lindsay also wanted to know how much dad Michael was getting paid for being on the show, so that he could pay Dina Lohan, his ex-wife and Lindsay's mom, child support. Dina and Michael divorced in 2005.

Filming for the new season of 'Celebrity Rehab' began on Wednesday, and Michael's treatment is expected to last for about 21 days.

TMZ is also reporting that joining Michael in 'Rehab' this season are White House party crashers and 'Real Housewives of D.C.' stars Tareq and Michaele Salahi, actress Bai Ling and 'Baywatch' actor Jeremy Jackson.

Why would she not be concerned, he never paid child support on his children, he has lived off of giving press about Lindsay and they pay him for it. The only reason he is going to rehab for the bucks, does not take an Einstein to see that. And Dr Drew and the producers want the Lohan family to boost their ratings. That is the name of the game.
