She might still be 'Jenny From the Block,' but Jennifer Lopez has come a long way, baby.Currently a high-profile judge in the television series 'American Idol,' Lopez will release a new album on April 19 entitled 'Love?' But, for her fans and followers, there need not be a question mark attached -- Lopez stormed the Billboard Hot 100 on Thursday with the album's first single, 'On the Floor,' landing her in the top 10.
It's a position she's been in before, sure, but it's been a full eight years since she's seen that kind of love -- and she's been engaged and/or married more than once since then.
In a move that demonstrates the kind of genius marketing and branding Lopez -- aka J.Lo -- has employed during her entire career, the digital release for 'On the Floor' (featuring Pitbull) was synced with its video premiere on 'American Idol' on Thursday. Watch the video after the jump.

Can't anybody spell congratulations right? She is too old for this kind of song, although she looked fantastic in video.

The product placement was a distraction... surely she has enough money that she could've avoided it, but apparantly not.

love it!

I thought the video lacked in talent. Anybody can sing with all the electronic editing that it had. All she did was a lot of voguing and her dance moves, if you want to call it that were just body pumping crap. I have never understood her popularity, other than she is latina and latinos just want someone up there to represent them, but I wish someone with real talent were there instead...someone that can really sing, act and dance!!

She is absolutely gorgeous from head to toe, has a very pretty voice, is an amazing dancer and her movies are adorable! Not to mention her phenomenal style! The perfume, clothing and jewelery line she has are fantastic! Stop hating...she's lovely!

I like her, but i am sorry i have to agree, she is getting a little too old for that type of video then they had to bleep out Pittdog or whatever his name is on the idol show last night, tacky, jennifer leave it to the young girls, it's not good.

I see her body. I see her hair. I see her move. I hear her voice. But, I just don't see the talent. A celeb? yes. A talented
celeb? Well...maybe it's just the ability to get you to watch while her bank account goes up, up, up....

And also, this Pitbull....now there's someone to look up to...NOT! If this is the kind of loser trash kids are emulating these days, then I weep for our future.

Like the song....kept thinking it sounded familiar, then it hit me: the tune she keeps singing is the song "Lambada" from the movie "The Forbidden Dance". Anyone else catch that?

I sure did. That's the first thing I noticed since Lambada was my favorite song back in the early 90's
Jen is a beautiful woman, but the song just wasn't orginal. I didn't care for the video either. The fact that a lot of the lambada music was mixed into the song just didn't do it for me.
Lambada is a beautiful Brazilian song. And it shouldn't be messed with.
