Jill Zarin Doubts Her Friendship With Bethenny Was Ever Real

Jill Zarin is having serious doubts her long-defunct friendship with former 'Real Housewives of New York City' co-star Bethenny Frankel was ever real and tells me it was just a "TV romance" that went bad. Real bad.

"The truth is, I don't even remember being friends with her anymore," Jill tells me on my HDNet show. "You know, when I see her picture and when I see her on TV, I don't even remember our relationship. Which kinda says something."

The pair's friendship went down in flames during the third season of the hit show, with numerous on-air blowups leading to a full scale feud between the two. It probably didn't help that Jill accidentally broke the news of the birth of Bethenny's baby last year on Twitter.

But after many attempts to patch things up, it's pretty clear things are kaput for good for these ex-BFF's and Jill tells me she's fine with it because they didn't exactly have long history. "People thought we came into the show with that romance," she said. "We didn't. We fell in love on TV and we got a divorce on TV."

Now a year later, she's not even sure she and the 'Bethenny Ever After' star were chums to begin with! "It was real! Well, I thought the friendship was real. Clearly, it was not."

Just last week I asked Countess LuAnn de Lesseps if she missed having Bethenny around and she she gave me a rousing "NO!" in response.

Jill is absolutely pathetic, it's time for her to STFU. She is clearly jealous of Bethenny's overwhelming success and the fact that she was far and away the most popular housewife.

I'm not a huge fan of either lady, but as a fan of the show I think Jill doesn't know how to define friendship. She's cold, driven and hard on everyone around her.

you were so mean jill zarin and so jealous -- bethanny could not take it anymore, it seems. You liked bethany's personality before the women attacked and then you sided with the other women. at least bethany is always herself and not as easily swayed to follow others as you are.

I'm not a fan of Bethenny, i do like Jill. I never could understand why people like Bethenny soo much. Anywho, i think they are both at fault. Jill said and done things that is wrong and so did Beth.

of course jill and luann don't miss her. next to bethenny, they were boring.

it was clear when watching that season that luann didn't want jill and bethenny to be friends. luann felt upstaged and didn't like it. but basically, luann is boring. sorry luann, but it's true. jill overplayed her hand with bethenny, who kept apologizing to jill, or kept trying to apologize to jill for something she wasn't even sure why jill was so upset, and jill kept rebuking her, until it got to the point where bethenny felt, "screw jill." it was enough. this was all jill's fault, and luann helped her. if she thinks luann is her friend, she is really a fool. jill, you are the one who ruined this friendship, and it's time to own up to it and not bad-mouth someone who isn't out there doing the same to you. get over yourself.

You are so right on the money with Luann...Even she knows it that she a as boring as a tube sock...But yet can't admit it that she is because her ego wont let her...She knows that she is just as boring as that brick wall she would see everyday when she was apartment hunting as she had to move out of her home because she was getting a divorce from the Count who was bored with her too.
