Video: Lady Gaga Performs 'Born This Way' With YouTube Star

It was a performance of a lifetime for YouTube star Maria Aragon on Thursday night. The 10-year-old singer joined Lady Gaga on stage at her concert in Toronto to perform 'Born This Way' live in front of thousands of people.

Aragon rose to YouTube fame after a video of herself singing the anthem went viral. Lady Gaga got wind of the young girl's video and tweeted a link to it, writing, "Can't stop crying watching this. This is why I make music. She is the future."

The singer got in touch with Aragon, who lives in Canada, and invited her to perform the song with her onstage during her Toronto concert.

"I'm really excited Maria is here today because Maria represents what this song is all about. It's all about the next generation of the future," Gaga told the crowd before the song. Watch the video inside.

"I just wanted to say I'm really grateful for all of you. I just want to thank all of you for all your support," Aragon told the roaring crowd after the duet, with Lady Gaga watching with tears in her eyes. "I want to shout out to all my friends back in Winnipeg, and my family, and all you guys -- thank you so much."

I really like the way Gaga supports and encourages the kids who are showing an interest in music. Folks may not agree with her music or costuming but she's a lot nicer than most of the celebs who regularly make headlines.

That child is doomed. What rotten parents she must have that they would first let a 10-year-old go to a Lady GaGa concert, and second, sit on a strangers lap who is in the equivalent of her underwear.

Sad what people do for a couple minutes of attention.

You are being to judgemental of Lady Gaga. I have a 4 year old who is in love with her and I let her listen to Gaga whenever she wants. Sometimes its about the message that were sending and Lady Gaga is sending a message of self love to everyone in the world who listens. What better message is there to send to children who are growing up in a society with a media that constantly tells us were to fat or ugly. Think about all that!

I seriously hope you lemmings are all 14-year-olds. To think Lady GaGa is any kind of a role model or that she is a legitimate vehicle to impart a sincere message to anyone besides other fake, self-absorbed hollywood trash is frightening. How on earth can even a teenager not see she is an artificial entertainer, made for all you goofballs incapable of thinking for yourself? She is a smart business person willing to sacrifice anything for fame. That is all.

The most hilarious hypocrisy is that the song talks about "being born this way" Shocking that she was born wearing clothes generally reserved for hookers and thinks it's OK to go into public exposing herself around children. If that was the way she was born, her childhood was a nightmare. Some well placed therapy would have helped her.

Technically Donald, we were all born naked...so with that in mind she is overdressed.

...and though I think this song is ridiculously unoriginal and can place several other artists throughout the thing, I do give her much kudos for making a little girl very happy obviously.

Oh, and Donald...I'd let my kid sit on Germanotta's lap before yours.

...technically I know more where she's been, than where you have.

@donald - Hey Donald, I'm 56 years old and I love Gaga's music. She's putting out the message to children that it's okay to be whomever you want to be. This is a POSITIVE message. And although I think she could have chosen more appropriate attire to do a song with a ten-year-old, I believe her feelings are sincere.

Gaga's music is sick, self-absorbed and filled with rebellion and narcissism. She is teaching children and teens to use their bodies to get what they want and to feel no guilt or remorse. We live in a time when 1 in3 people who are sexually active is infected with an STD of some sort. It is neither safe nor wise to encourage ANYONE to be sexually active in a promiscuous manner. Her clothing is futuristic sci-fi hooker, and she is just plain unattractive to begin with. And if you found your 14 year old daughter sitting in the lap of any other woman (wearing only leather underwear) GAG-a's age, you'd call the cops. She is a horrible influence and this kids parents - and any others who support their kids listening to GAG-a - should consider a lot more carefully what they are actually doing to their kids. The future is BLEAK for them no doubt.

Fantastic!! Saw an interview with Lady Gaga recently and was really amazed how sincere she is about her causes. Lady Gaga is truly very talented and has an amazing voice, as does the young girl.
