Sean Penn and Scarlett Johansson Getting Serious?

Scarlett Johansson is telling friends that she's head over heels again after a short-but-romantic vacation getaway to Mexico with Sean Penn. "She thinks Sean is amazing. Sure, he's an incredible actor, but there's depth. He's an amazing human being who cares about politics and the world," a friend of the young actress tells me.

The pair were spotted dining together in Cabo San Lucas three evenings ago and have since returned to Los Angeles via private plane for Scarlett to start filming her new movie with Matt Damon.

"If she didn't have to return to work she would still be with him," an insider tells me. "She doesn't care about the age difference." -- He's 50, she's 26 -- "In fact that's what makes him so attractive."

Sources tell me that after being married a few years to someone "as childish as Ryan," it's nice to be with someone mature. OUCH! We'll let that one sit for a second.

The pair were first spotted together four weeks ago at a party in LA celebrating 'Black Swan.' They were even seen eating together in public with her legs draped over his lap.

Both camps are staying mum on the budding courtship, but there are fresh reports that "S-Squared" are planning a trip to Haiti in the spring. In fact, his passion for humanitarian causes is part of the reason she was attracted to him in the first place.

"He's exactly the kind of guy she wants," the friend tells me. "She talks to him every day and can't wait until she has a break in film so she can run away with him."

We know there are plenty of you that wish they'd just disappear the next time they run off, but I'm hoping to see more of these two!

People are so shallow. He is a great actor and a very talented guy. I totally disagree with his views on politics but I give him his due.Our culture is so focused on youth and beauty that we miss the fact that older people have something to offer. She is very talented and spent 2 years with the handsome young star. It is not suprising that she is seeking a mature view of the world.People need to grow up.

I think if Sean can control his temper and some of his wackiness away, it might work out.

And what the hell do you say GROSSSSS about a man older going out with someone younger. My husband and I have a 20 years difference in our age and we've been together for 15 years now. Besides, he doesn't look his age and nobody says anything.

You must like those really young guys who's ideas of taking you out is a frat party or a movie...BORING & IMMATURE!! Thank you...Grow up and get a REAL man.

Scarlett is so disturbed for she is talented and beautiful, but to lower herself to Penn is just sick. He is too old for her, been married two times, is a trader of the USA loving both Chavez and other middleeastern dictators, badmouthed USA in IRAQ, and many other things he has done. He is not attractive at all but Scarlett also loves Woody Allen who married his Step/Adoptive daughter and that is plainly sick. She must have a dark side for she is seek love of men who are degenerate.

I am sorry, but I can overlook anyones politics. In the case of Sean Penn it is more of his being a trader that bother me for you can disagree with the way American does business, but if you are an American you never ever go overseas and talk down America. You do not converse with dictator who yell death to America as Sean did with Chavez. I do not care how talented he may be, but a trader is a trader. Anyone who goes to another country and does what he did should be thrown out of the country for he seems to love Chavez better than his own country. He is ugly in looks but that does not matter it is his ugly way he treats America that gets us all mad.
