Simon Cowell: Paula Abdul Being Considered for 'X Factor' Judge Position

Simon Cowell continues to be cagey regarding final selection for the 'X Factor' judges panel. He did, however, reveal the names of possible judges and those who definitely aren't being considered on 'Access Hollywood Live.'

Cowell said that George Michael, Nicole Scherzinger, Mariah Carey and Paula Abdul are possibilities, but that Christina Aguilera and Katy Perry are not. He also said that Elton John is absolutely not in the running "He's so grumpy nowadays. He'd just be moaning the whole time," said Cowell. Watch the video after the jump.

But Billy Bush takes Cowell's dig at John as a sign that the singer is "definitely in." "The catfight between these two is going to be epic," said Bush.

I agree. American Idol is so much better without the tasteless acerbic Cowell, who, by the way, couldn't jusge anything outside the realm of pop music if his life depended on it. Now he's thinking about recapturing those old glory days with ditsy, incoherent Paula Abdul. XFactor is already stacking up to be a second ran show. Bring her on. We need some laughs!

I think Paula would make a terrific judge. It would be like having three quarters of the original American Idol judges
back, just on another talent show. Paula has over 20 years experience in the music industry, she is intelligent, articulate and has a formal education. Paula achieve success through her singing abilities and tap dancing. Jopez on the other hand acheive fame through by using her sexuality.

What concerns me about Paula is this relationship she is in. She said argument are a normal part of a relationship. But how normal is a women crying histerically on a highway in a car with a man who refuses to let her out. This is not normal

Please do not bring Paula back again. She can't critique anyone without slurping over them. Also remember when she told the Idol that he did better in his 1st song and Randy had to tell her that this is his 1st song (she didn't even know what he was doing). Poor poor judge and I can't understand why Simon would want her back - to me he hires losers.

I think Simon may be a tad bit jealous over the success of Idol this year, i thought i would miss simon but i love the new panel!

Of course she is going to be on his show. Why does anyone think that 911 call was leaked? She's the female version of Charlie Sheen. Overated and boring. I didn't watch A.I. because of her and I for sure won't be watching the new show. Time to move on Simon and get some fresh face on the show not a star wannabe.
