Miley Cyrus Plays Justin Bieber, Fergie on 'SNL'

It had to happen. All season, cast newcomer Vanessa Bayer has been parodying Miley Cyrus in recurring 'Saturday Night Live' sketches. And this weekend, with Cyrus trying her hand at hosting 'SNL,' the 18-year-old got to share a 'Miley Cyrus Show' scene with Bayer -- coming face to face with the shrill, pleased-with-herself caricature the comedienne has perfected since the spoof's debut last fall.

The former 'Hannah Montana' star brought just the right amount of swagger to her Justin Bieber impersonation (surely the 'swagger coach' was a big help), and things got pretty meta when Bayer mentioned salvia to "Justin" and tried (unsuccessfully) to get Cyrus to utter the sketch's "Pretty cool!" tagline.

Later in the 'SNL' broadcast, Cyrus belted her heart out as Fergie, and gyrated onstage at inopportune moments to crash a hilarious segment ostensibly devoted to two lesser-known Black Eyed Peas: Taboo (Andy Samberg) and apl.d.ap (Kenan Thompson).

the show has not been funny for many years . I have no idea why it is on ? I guess shwoing a good old movie in its place is out of the question

Miley looks like she has a 'real attitude' problem. I don't care for her, and that "Brat" should have her rump slapped. SPOILED CHILD, I can't stand the sight of her. Miley, grow up!

Oh Grace, that 'brat' as you call her has worked 16 hour days since she was a child. Missed out on a lot of her childhood working, was tutored on set while she worked, etc. Getting the picture, Grace? This 'brat' has worked most of her life and probably has enough money to not work again, but she enjoys working. I don't call spending your own money, that you worked for, to be bratty behavior. She's made some poor choices along the way, but the overwhelming majority of children do. She's just typical in that regard. What most people won't do is let her grow up. I think Hannah Montana, and other shows like it, should cut the actor/actress off at age 14. That way they can move on. 16 at the latest. By 16, a young lady should be acting more like a woman and not a Disney character. That is the mistake they made with Miley and Brittney and others.

Absolutely agree! I get that most teenagers make mistakes and all, but she's chosen a career which leaves her constantly in the spotlight. There's a standard to which the public holds her, because, unfortunately, kids look up to her. I don't think celebrities should be treated as role models, but the fact is that they are, and that leaves little room for smoking, getting high, getting tattoos, and whatever else she's been doing.

@Grace, you are entitled to your opinion, but calling a hardworking talented successful young adult like Miley a "brat," says a lot more about you than it does about her. Even here in her great triumph as a rookie SNL host with the second highest ratings of the season (the first highest had a playoff game as a lead in!), having delivered the best guest performances of the season, some haters just can't give credit where it's due.

Miley was great in those skits. She has a lot more going on than people give her credit for.
