Charlie Sheen Officially Fired From 'Two and a Half Men'
Charlie Sheen may be winning, but he just lost his contract with Warner Bros Television.
"After careful consideration, Warner Bros. Television has terminated Charlie Sheen's services on 'Two and a Half Men' effective immediately,' a statement from the company read (via
The Hollywood Reporter).
Sheen himself responded to
TMZ, in typical Sheen fashion. "This is very good news. They continue to be in breach, like so many whales. It is a big day of gladness at the Sober Valley Lodge because now I can take all of the bazillions, never have to look at whatshisc--k again and I never have to put on those silly shirts for as long as this warlock exists in the terrestrial dimension."
Update: TMZ just obtained a copy of the termination letter sent to Sheen's attorney by Warner Bros.. The letter stated the actor was fired because he committed a felony involving "moral turpitude." The 11-page letter also said: "Your client has been engaged in dangerously self-destructive conduct and appears to be very ill."
As for the absolute reason why Sheen was fired, the letter states it was due to Sheen selling "cocaine to others as part of the self-destructive lifestyle he has described publicly... that have 'interfere[d] with his ability to fully and completely render all material services required' under the agreement."
Sheen told TMZ that he's not buying it and plans to sue Lorre and Warner Bros. He believes they fired him because he insulted Lorre--which they technically can't do.
According to TMZ, the decision to cancel the series entirely, or bring it back in the fall, has not been made.
This is just another twist and turn in the Sheen saga that has erupted over the past few weeks. After his hospitalization led to a postponement of taping 'Men,' the troubled actor went on several radio shows to vent his displeasure -- ultimately insulting his boss Chuck Lorre, prompting CBS and Warner Bros. to cancel the rest of the season.
Then Charlie continued his media blitz with appearances on '20/20,' 'The Today Show' and even a live chat with TMZ and made several quotable quips about warlocks, Adonis DNA, tiger's blood and winning.
During this time, Sheen also turned to Twitter, becoming the fastest person to ever earn 1 million followers, and even set up an Internet chat with UStream, naming his show 'Sheen's Korner.'
See fans suggest who could be the next Charlie Sheen -- both on 'Two and a Half Men' and in the headlines:

Good riddance Charlie, you were never really that good anyway.

There is a god!!!
Is it true that Cuba Gooding Jr. will replace him????
He's finished-for good. He had already stooped to doing television, and now they don't even want him. No top-rated actor stoops to tv, in the first place. He was already on his way out when he did that. He's pretty clever about trying to shock and confuse people with his idiotic statements, but that will get him nowhere, either. Enjoy the money, Charley; just don't spend it too fast-it has to last you a lifetime.

At the rate he's going, he's not going to be around much longer.
Charlie's out of control. Not out of money.
We don't know the specifics of his contact with this show already in syndication.
It's on every night in many markets. Jerry Seinfield, Bill Cosby are still making millions upon millions.
If this show makes a tenth of those shows, given his contract, his money will last way past his lifetime and his kids lifeftime.
GOOD RIDDANCE, he sucked!

Another idiotic statement. I guess when you are the show thats made your Bosses more money than any other show in history, and the ratings were best for the past 7 years in a row, and advertizers paid the network more money than any other tv show, your no good, lol. Some people write before they think, or are just plain stupid.
In reply to John: What show were you watching? It was horrible :-/ My grandmother made me watch it with her several times and I felt like each episode was almost the same as the last episode she forced me to watch. If it was that successful it wasn't because of him...
I really hope the show can continue somehow without him...and even better, be even more successful. It would be a shame for so many people to lose their jobs because of ONE person's actions.

They absolutely CAN continue the show, but with another actor in his place. Remember "Bewitched" from years ago? They brought in another actor to play "Samantha's" husband after the first "Darrin" developed health issues. And the show continued to do great! If the suits at CBS have any sense, they will bring in another actor to play "Charlie," or just have "Charlie" mysteriously disappear and up pops a child of "Evelyn's" she gave up for adoption four decades ago.
The show can absolutely survive, if not thrive, without Sheen. Hell, I watch the show for all the other actors anyway! The only person who thinks the show can't go on without him is Charlie Sheen and all that tiger blood, LMAO!
He did it to his self,oh well!!!!

Darn right, Kim! I don't care for the guy but I just this morning thought about him before I read the news for the day and actually wondered what if he died last night and what kind of a circus would that be?! His Family has reasons to stay mute I'm sure as they haven't spoken out much-if at all-about him, but he IS a human being and I wish someone helps him before he kills himself. He isn't well, he needs help, I hope his Family and friends way lay their fears and just dig in and get him help! Not that this was ever funny but it sure isn't funny now!
He has gone off the deep end!!!

I think he made a big mistake in speaking out about the show's personal, but I have to say without him in the script the show is nothing , it takes all the members to make it fly. If you took Berta, Slippy, or Jake away it would be the same nothing, they work as a unit well and he will not be replaced with the same humor or draw of fans and will loose me as a fan as well.

Wise move CBS, or should I say "Winning" move.

Charlie: I guess it's Warner Bros who is "W I N N I N G" They must possess more "tiger blood" and the "warlocks there have stronger spells."
