Charlie Sheen Officially Fired From 'Two and a Half Men'

Charlie Sheen may be winning, but he just lost his contract with Warner Bros Television.

"After careful consideration, Warner Bros. Television has terminated Charlie Sheen's services on 'Two and a Half Men' effective immediately,' a statement from the company read (via The Hollywood Reporter).

Sheen himself responded to TMZ, in typical Sheen fashion. "This is very good news. They continue to be in breach, like so many whales. It is a big day of gladness at the Sober Valley Lodge because now I can take all of the bazillions, never have to look at whatshisc--k again and I never have to put on those silly shirts for as long as this warlock exists in the terrestrial dimension."

Update: TMZ just obtained a copy of the termination letter sent to Sheen's attorney by Warner Bros.. The letter stated the actor was fired because he committed a felony involving "moral turpitude." The 11-page letter also said: "Your client has been engaged in dangerously self-destructive conduct and appears to be very ill."

As for the absolute reason why Sheen was fired, the letter states it was due to Sheen selling "cocaine to others as part of the self-destructive lifestyle he has described publicly... that have 'interfere[d] with his ability to fully and completely render all material services required' under the agreement."

Sheen told TMZ that he's not buying it and plans to sue Lorre and Warner Bros. He believes they fired him because he insulted Lorre--which they technically can't do.

According to TMZ, the decision to cancel the series entirely, or bring it back in the fall, has not been made.

This is just another twist and turn in the Sheen saga that has erupted over the past few weeks. After his hospitalization led to a postponement of taping 'Men,' the troubled actor went on several radio shows to vent his displeasure -- ultimately insulting his boss Chuck Lorre, prompting CBS and Warner Bros. to cancel the rest of the season.

Then Charlie continued his media blitz with appearances on '20/20,' 'The Today Show' and even a live chat with TMZ and made several quotable quips about warlocks, Adonis DNA, tiger's blood and winning.

During this time, Sheen also turned to Twitter, becoming the fastest person to ever earn 1 million followers, and even set up an Internet chat with UStream, naming his show 'Sheen's Korner.'

Charlie Sheen is his own worst enemy. Hopefully, no one else in Hollywood will ever again hire him or employ him.

I've been watching 2 1/2 Men for a long time but lately his character was annoying me. Enough with the womanizing and drinking and derogatory remarks about women. It just got old and not so funny anymore. Most people eventually outgrow that lifestyle. Charlie is in big trouble and needs some serious help. It think the show could be good without him because there are enough talented and funny actors in the cast to carry it off.

Very happy to read this. It's nice to know not all levels of degenerate behavior are tolereated. Our youth needs to see this as an example of what happens when one behaves soooooo badly.

Charlie I bet that 'Sweet Taste of Victory' has got to be tasting like dog crap right now. Talk about a bad after taste. What possibly went wrong son? Personally I think you need some new material or at least a different script writer, ya think?

I have watched Two and a Half Men since it began, but the last 2 seasons have not been the best. I think that the show should still get a chance though. Maybe another brother that Alan doesn't know about could show up.

I'm just dissapointed only because the plot was getting good with Charlie, Rose, and Manny. I would have liked to have seen how that all played out. Or, is that the way it will end? Charlie and Rose disappearing off together somewhere??? Too bad all the drugs and alcohol destroyed his brain and thinking process. R.I.P. Charlie Sheen

He lived through the Heidi F drama by being himself honestly and the show played on the real Charlie's lifestyle but when it was a reality thing in his private life once to much CBS fired him? Bit of a double standard there don't you think? Does the Man need help ... of course for his childrens sake if not his own. And if he is Bi Polar so are a lot of famous folks who do just fine. CBS should really look at this mistake honestly and all parties need a corner for a time out and then get back to work on the show again. Leave the egos in the cars and bring in qaulity work which made the show work in the first place!

No it won't...These shows only have a short life span to begin with of what 4 to 6 seasons...Anyone working these shows know that they will not work for them for 30 years until they retire like "Joe Average."...And those in charge nade a good choice because why would any decent person on this earth want to be entertained by an arrested wife beating abuser...Who's also threathend to cut off his latest wife head...Why he is so conceited and wrapped up within himself that he would not only tweet and twitter about it but also have it written in a script then broadcast it himslef via webcam from his cellphone. He is a known alcoholic and admitted buyer of illegal narcotics who for all of his life has also illegally paid for prostitutes...This criminal belongs in prison with the others who broke the laws...Even more so as he is the white washed current version of that wife beater, OJ Simpson...Why wait until there is another Bronco doing 35 with him behind the wheel cellphone in hand tweeting and twittering on a California highway minus the cliffs he always uses to drive his vehicles over.
