Gwyneth Paltrow Signs Record Deal

Gwyneth Paltrow has signed a $900,000 deal with Atlantic Records and will release her first full-length album.

Paltrow, who of course turned some heads with her musical performance in the movie 'Country Strong' and in a guest slot on the television show 'Glee,' tipped the news on the Oscars red carpet. "We're talking about it now," Paltrow said at the time. "So we'll see."

While her album is expected to be in the country-pop realm, Paltrow has admitted she wants to record with Jay-Z, a close friend of hers and husband Chris Martin, lead singer of Coldplay.

Of course, Paltrow also showed off some of her musical adaptability when she joined Cee Lo Green for his performance of 'Forget You' during this year's Grammy Awards.

Atlantic seems the proper place for the actress-turned-singer with a diverse roster that ranges from the Zac Brown Band and Brett Eldredge to Sean Paul, B.o.B, T.I. and Kid Rock.

I really shouldn't be surprised. She is a great actress but please Gwyneth stop there. It makes me laugh how actors want to be singers and singers want to be actors. They never stop to think if they should. They think because they have money they can just jump from one thing to another. And they use their popularity to boost them. It doesn't surprise me that she is getting alot of attention but that doesn't mean she deserves it. There are a lot of singers out there that shouldn't even be allowed near a microphone. All you have to be nowadays is cute and it seems like you're in. What ever happened to talent?

How ridiculous! Her voice is good enough to sing at church with the other sinners but to take her seriously as a singer - NOT. She's making a fool out of herself. She's a brillant actor and should stick to that.
