'Housewives' Star Pleads: Leave Lindsay Lohan Alone

With Lindsay Lohan only days away from her felony grand theft case court date, 'Real Housewives of New York' star LuAnn de Lesseps is sending love to the starlet. Lesseps, whose messy divorce was dragged through the tabloids, sympathizes with Lohan, admitting the media should let her get on with her life.

"I feel like people are always on Lindsay's back. I feel sorry for her," Lesseps told PopEater at the 23rd Bailey House Auction party. "Does she need to go to jail for stealing a necklace? I don't think so. Hopefully she will get a break and have learned something from this whole experience."

On Feb. 23, Lohan declined to take a plea deal that Judge Keith L. Schwartz promised would include jail time. Lohan's lawyer set up another hearing on March 10 that will again address charges that she stole a necklace and violated probation.

The prosecution's case against Lohan is in jeopardy though, after Kamofie & Co. sold the surveillance video allegedly showing Lohan leaving the store with the unpaid merchandise. The video is crucial evidence against the actress and now could bolster claims by Lohan's defense attorneys that the store wanted to make money by accusing Lohan of stealing the necklace.

I dont think that Lindsey would really just be going to jail because of the necklace its because of the long string of things she has been popped for and given little or no punishment. This just might be the final straw. I think she needs to go to jail for a long time. Maybe that will set her straight. I mean really how many times can you break the law and get away with it. I am so sick of hearing about her and really. Is she a star? I dont consider her anything but a gossip trap

The problem, "Countess", is that Lindsay never does learn anything from her problematic experiences. Until she loses her unrealistic and undeserved sense of entitlement, she never will learn.

Undoubtably, the former Countess would be singing a different tune, one that is not only on key but also not "auto-tuned" so she did not sound like a screeching old cat if that was her expensive mink coat Lindsay Lohan walked away with from a nightclub coatroom.

It's amazing that we have to listen to a nobody about a nobody. All you people need to do is sit on a bench in the mall and you can hear about the same problems that effects 75% of all Americans. What is most amazing to me is that I read this and am writing something but I guess we all have nothing else to do. But I promise, this is it, this entire website should just be banned!!

Of course she needs to go to jail. She's made countless, idiotic mistakes and apparently hasn't learned anything from her troubles. At some point they stop being mistakes and are just poor choices. Choices she is choosing to make. Any normal person who walks out of a jewelry store with a necklace not purchased is going to jail. She's no different and needs a serious reality check.

Lindsay Lohan has done a lot of crazy, unsettling things in her young life, but her parents to me are as much if not more so at fault than this young woman. The media too, does not give up and reports every move the girl makes, good, bad or otherwise. She cannot take a breath that she is not followed. I do not think she will ever get straigtened out if she is not let alone. Her parents, especially Dina need to back off and let her live her life and stop pandering off their daughter. The media should be blown out of the water because they seem to love to ruin celebrities life without shedding a tear. The media is disgusting.

I don't think she stole the necklace at all. The whole story stinks. As for that judge Swartz, he as much as said he thinks she is guilty and would send her to jail. Some judge. Can't believe all the people who want this girl locked up, the press is the one that keeps harping on her every move and making people hate this girl.

It seems that Lindsey's troubles started when she started snorting cocaine with Samantha Ronson and shortly claimed that they were lovers. It is bad news to fall for a drug addict because their mindset id to get their drugs no matter what happens. What happened is that Lindsey started getting dragged through the mud and has not been clean since.

No one is on Lohan's back, they are just reporting on the stupid crap that she does. Why would someone in her position steal jewelry? Why would someone like her, when drunk, would not hire a cab? Only a stupid person. Even Forrest Gump knew her when he would say "stupid is as stupid does." Jail may be her only salvation.
