Ke$ha may be music's latest devil-may-care party girl, but before she brought her whiskey-fueled brands of oral hygiene and music to the masses, Avril Lavigne was the angsty good-time girl to watch.Likely noting their similarities, including penchants for teasing men, heavy eyeliner and half-shirts, the 'What the Hell' singer covered Ke$ha's party anthem 'Tik Tok' at the Radio 1 Live Lounge.
Lavigne, whose most recent album, 'Goodbye Lullabye,' was four years in the making, is excited to bring some of her new material (and a few borrowed tunes) to audiences soon.
She told PopEater, "I'm anxious to get out there again ... I work hard, and I also play hard."
Check out Avril's cover of 'Tik Tok' after the jump.

Not good... Not good at all. How did she manage to suck all the life out of that song so easily?

She will always be a "cover' singer. She has no talent. The only talented thing she ever did was marry a singer. Close but close doesnt make talent skater girl. Katy took your glory.

She is not a cover singer, she is a very talented woman. You should listen to her own songs
She has a way better voice than Kesha, but this is a really bad version!!

This is unfortunate. It sounds like karaoke, and not very good karaoke at that.

Damn you know the music industry hit rock bottom when someone is cover a Kesha song...

I love her voice but, saldy, she should have never done that song.

I like Avril's version. I don't like Kesha at all.

LOL! These "artists" are already ripping off each others songs. Avril taking Tic Tock and Katy Perry already covering Born This Way. I don't know whats more pathetic, the fact that they are ripping off a song within a year of it being put out, or ripping off crap that they apparently think is gold. Anyone can argue now that this is good music, but I'm pretty sure in 10 years no one is going to be singing this crap at karaoke, and yet 80's music and old rock will continue to be sung 30 years later.
