Britney Spears' personal and professional lives have undergone massive transformations in the four years since her shocking head-shaving incident, and in her new interview with Out magazine, the pop princess proves she's matured as both an artist and an individual.
Spears, whose latest record 'Femme Fatale' is scheduled for release on March 29, tells the magazine that her road to stardom was in the cards from an early age.
"I was in seventh grade and it was career day and I remember thinking that I wanted to be an entertainment lawyer," says Spears. "I always knew I would be in this business somehow. I think this path worked out way better."
The mother of two, who cites "amazing entertainer" Madonna and actress Sarah Jessica Parker as her inspirations, has seen the transformation in herself, calling her latest work, "My most upbeat and mature album yet."
Spears, whose single 'Hold It Against Me' debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts, has reached a healthy medium between superstar and regular woman in the years since she emerged on the music scene.
The singer says that while she loves "being able to reach people and ... make them happy" with her music, her ideal downtime is spent "playing with my boys, getting some frozen yogurt, working out and taking a nap." Spears, who famously promised chastity until marriage, has her priorities straight even if her sons don't turn out to be. "I love my boys no matter what," she says, and even voices her support for gay marriage. "I think everyone should be treated equally."
After years of fame, Spears maintains the down-to-earth attitude that initially resonated with her fans. "It's such a cool feeling to hear your own song play on the radio," she says. "I still have the same kind of excitement when I hear any of my songs today."
And as for her confidence as an artist after years of media scrutiny? "All of my songs are f**king amazing," she says.
Sorry kid, you're a very average singer with limited range. Your music is nothing but pop fluff and you're place in music history will be minimal at best. Aguilera has a much better voice than you do and Kelly Clarkson just blows you and many others out of the water.
Wow...she insists that she's matured, yet she sounds anything BUT. She's still a ridiculous, immature girl with delusions of grandeur. How she remains in the spotlight just escapes me.
While not a big fan of Britney's (....and I have young grandchildren), I don't think any young musician or starlet has an obligation to be role models to children. It is up to the parent to be a role model to their own children -- and turn OFF anything that they do not want their children watching or listening to. That is not an easy thing to do, but this is the world today and we have to live in it.
People can say what they want but this girl works hard for what she has and knows how to use her voice, true aguilera and many others have better range but Britney will be the one remembered in the long run, after all she is the Princess of Pop!
GOD ... SOMEBODY THINKS SHE IS CUTE. HEY B YOU LOOK LIKE A FAT SLOB AND PUT SOME CLOTHES ON YOU ARE MAKEING US ALL SICK - NOBODY WANT TO SEE YOUR VA JAINA, YOU FAT DISGUSTING SLOB
