Why Is Charlie Sheen on Edge? 'He's Cash Poor,' Says Insider

Newly out-of-work actor
Charlie Sheen is making his public fight against his ex-bosses at CBS and Warner Bros. Television about defending his honor, but sources very close to the actor tell me the real reason is the guy is "cash poor" and desperately needs the money to maintain his vast, complicated estate.
"Charlie has earned an enormous amount of money with this show, but he has also spent a fortune and now finds himself in the very tricky position of being cash poor," an insider tells me. "Every penny he has is tied up in property or business dealings."
According to my source, what Charlie needs is cold hard cash and "that's why he's fighting so hard to try and get the $16 million he lost when CBS originally suspended production on the eight remaining episodes of this season."
See fans suggest who could be the next Charlie Sheen -- both on 'Two and a Half Men' and in the headlines:
Beware former "overlords," Charlie intends to fight to make sure he still gets a big paycheck if the show continues without him, which seems to be the case. According to the
Hollywood Reporter, Warners execs and show boss Chuck Lorre are signaling that 'Men' will likely return in the fall. (They're mum on who will replace him.)
Charlie claims to have a so-called 'Michael J. Fox Clause' in his contract, referring to the fact that Michael still earned money from 'Spin City' even after he left the show (and was replaced by Charlie Sheen). Charlie's contract with 'Two and a Half Men' is reportedly based on a similar model, which is why he hopes the show continues without him.
"Charlie wants the show to continue as long as he gets paid," a friend of actor's tells me. "He would like nothing better than to earn money to stay home while someone else does the work."

Another interesting kink in the show's future, via THR: "Existing deals with CBS and syndicators require both Sheen's and Lorre's participation in the show, but Warners execs believe those pacts could be renegotiated if Lorre agreed to return and the right cast came together. And one thing is certain: At least the initial ratings next season would be huge."
In the meantime, the enterprising star is also busy making deals to to put "Winning" and his other catchphrases on T-shirts to capitalize on his elevated profile these days.
I've also learned that Charlie is shopping an interview for $1 million, though since he's been giving them away for free for the past week and a half it's not clear what he could say that would be worth that kind of money!

i have the perfect solution for charlie: he should go to haiti and let sean penn hold a benefit for him

I've got an even better idea, he should go to Haiti... and just STAY THERE!
LOL, That was a good one.
That's Hilarious! He wouldn't make much...LOL! He did this to himself.
He couldn't hold a match to Sean Penn. Maybe if he did some charity work, he wouldn't be so self centered. Sean Penn is the only celeb who still helps the people of Haiti who have absolutely nothing.
I was wondering if he really had any cash. Addicts are usually not good at managing their money and he has all those leeches around him all the time

if he is broke his godesses will bail in a heart beat sweet lil things that they are (not)
I'm way past saturation point on Charlie Sheen and the too-many-to-count "exclusives"! I'm cheering for the trolls now; there's a new FB page "Charlie or Trolls? I Pick the Trolls!! ;-)" !!! I'm a charter member:-D!

If the Warlock is truly cash poor then hopefully he has learned that crack, and booze, and goddesses aka hookers, and porn stars, and being stupid are very expensive habits. Duh. Epic.

I am so sick and tired of hearing about Charlie Sheen. He should be in jail. Any other normal person would be. I don't care about the stupid show or CBS. They hired him. They need to deal with the problem that they created. As far as Chuckie being cash poor. Good. Maybe he'll get sober. The guy is a Misogynist Egotist. And not very funny or intelligent.

Where have you been? The Newtork is dealing with the problem from their end. They fired him. DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bingo.
I have never understood the appeal of 3 and Half Gay Men anyway. Poor writing, canned laughter, dull characters. Add to that the fact that the "star" is neither attractive, intelligent, nor funny...Well, I'm not exactly weeping bitter tears for either CBS or Sheen.
Sheen is just a loud-mouthed, spoiled, angry little boy who abuses women and drugs. Lock him up, I say.
AGREE, AGREE, AGREE!!!
A broke junkie is a desperate thing, may be this will help good time Charlie to get clean and sober? The troll should start couning his blessings, and keep what money he has, and stop the cocaine abuse.

Great idea! I agree.
Oh yes, good choice as a replacement !...excellent !
David to play the role of havihg so much sex with women. Get a life ...he would be great having sex with men as he does now. Get me right, nothing wrong with being a gay queen, as he is but not a sexy guy.
absolutely right, I totally agree, brilliant !!!!!
DH Pierce is a gay man, no one will likely cast him as a straight playboy type.
