'Old Spice Guy' Isaiah Mustafa Declares He is Single, Says Kathy Griffin is 'Amazing'

Isaiah Mustafa, better known as the Old Spice Guy, revealed that he is single and was not dating Kathy Griffin.

PEOPLE are reporting that Mustafa, 37, was at the Cosmopolitan's Fun Fearless Male of 2011 party in New York, where he was honored along with comedian and actor Russell Brand and 'Gossip Girl' star Penn Badgley.

Mustafa is quoted saying, "I am single, I like hanging out with people."

When asked about the rumors of Mustafa dating Griffin, 50, after she posted a photo of the pair embracing, he replied, "I actually met her backstage at her show because I'm a big fan of hers. ... She's given me good business advice."

And upon being asked whether Griffin ever asked the actor to take his shirt off and re-enact his famous Old Spice commercials, Mustafa said, "Everybody asks me to take off my shirt. I just smile, but depending on the circumstances, if I can do it, I'll do it."

Mustafa also talked to UsMagazine.com at the same event, and he had nothing but high praise for Griffin. He said, "I think she is amazing! I think she's a force of nature. And she's on Broadway, so if you get a chance, go check her out!"

And when asked on what he looks for in a woman, Mustafa said, "I'm looking for someone who's respectful of my needs because I'm always respectful of the lady's needs, and that's pretty much the bottom line."

Mustafa also added his preferences, "I like brunettes. I like redheads or gingers. I like blondes!"
