Julianne Moore will have to master another very distinct accent for her next TV role. The Oscar-nominated actress has been cast as none other than Sarah Palin in HBO's movie about the 2008 presidential election, 'Game Change.'Based on the book of the same name, the movie will chronicle John McCain's failed 2008 White House bid. Moore is set to star as former-Alaska-governor-turned-McCain-running-mate Palin, Entertainment Weekly reports.
The project comes from director Jay Roach and writer Danny Strong, who worked on the network's 'Recount,' about the 2000 election. That film won a Golden Globe and three Emmys.
Moore's last TV appearance was her arc on '30 Rock' last season as Jack Donaghy's lost Boston love, Nancy Donovan, who spoke with an ultra-thick Bahhhston accent.

Why not Tina Fey??? She has Palin down perfectly! folksy accent and all!

The other better option would be Sarah herself...she seems to love being in the media spotlight!

Let me guess...this will be another vicious and demeaning attack on Palin and her family..right? Ahh make that Left!

Got to work with the material you're given.
Stop blaming the left. Palin is her own worst enemy. You must be on the rag.
Huh? Talk about mis-cast! What a strange choice.

Kiki ~ You are so very right. Moore has neither the charisma nor the acting ability to play Palin. The project sounds bad from the get-go.
Moore's a great actress, with a couple Oscars noms, but it probably will be difficult for someone intelligent like her to put herself into the mindset of a moron.
She's such an easy target ... but can't wait to see it.

it is not a liberal attack on palin, it is based on the book Game Change...did you read it? a very fair account of the election. she was really a deer in the headlights behind the scenes.

Nobody is going to watch this lol. It will be about as successful as the W movie or Ollie Stones WTC. You know it's not even going to be interesting, every single political oriented thing on HBO is the same democrat good(republicrats bad) handy J. They need to work on better entertainment and stop being so preachy. I guarantee that the night this joke of a movie, about a joke of a person airs, it will be beat by re runs of Two and Half Men!

2 questions...why? and ...who would watch it?

Another movie I wont watch. Who cares about a movie about a election. Maybe if one needs to fall asleep faster they can watch this.

Oh, but maybe she'll WIN this time.
Wasn't that the original fantasy anyway?
As if we don't see enough of this dummer than dumb woman.

Sarah who ?????

I dont know anything about this actress... can she DUMB herself down to play that idiot Palin?
Reply
Isn't the (un)real Palin enough, now we have to have a movie about her too? How good is Moore at playing stupid.

This has disaster written all over it.

Now if Palin is going to have a movie made about her, next should be a cartoon about Michelle Bachman. If Palin runs for prez, than her ideal running mate should be airhead Michelle. They could run on the Dumb and Dumber platform.
