Larry King Tweaks Anderson Cooper: 'Let's See What She's Up To'

Hair jokes were in no short supply at last night's Comedy Central roast of Donald Trump, but the quip that had the audience shocked was when CNN icon Larry King made fun of his former co-worker Anderson Cooper's sexuality.
Pretending he was still hosting his now-defunct talk show, King took calls from viewers throughout the country and then tossed to Anderson, whose '360' followed his 'Live' show every night for years.
"Anderson Cooper is coming up next. Let's see what SHE'S up to," Larry said to the packed house.
Anderson, who never talks about his sexuality in public, has been dealing with rumors about his love life ever since he become CNN's biggest star, but never before has a member of the CNN family poked fun at him in such a public way.
Even his good friend Kathy Griffin, who loves to tell tales about celebrities, refused to go there when she recently spoke with Howard Stern when he asked if the silver fox was gay.
"Larry meant no harm," a friend of the newsman tells me. "He was just having a little fun. Larry has huge respect for Anderson and couldn't care less who he chooses to sleep with."
Let's hope Anderson is laughing too. The roast airs March 15 on Comedy Central.

Kathy Griffin is a fraud too. She attacks celebrity children and says all sorts of vulgar things about everyone yet when she is put on the spot she punts What a hypocrite she is. Fraud Fraud Fraud. I guess that is why AC said once to her--nothing is offbase" Yeah right as long as it does not involve her friends. You hypocrite.

tacky Larry...very, very tacky...not that we expect much more than that from you but it was still a pretty lousy thing to do

Very tacky Larry, and inconsiderate, and rude and doesn't speak well for you!
I doubt very seriously that Anderson would be ashamed of his sexuality either way. The problem with it is, that some morons, in this country would try to use it as way way to derail his career, because they are intolerant of others, be it sexuality, religion, politics or numerous other prejudical issues.

It has to do w/ masculinity.
Boney Larry was fired for low ratings.
Thats rude, disrespectful and uncalled for on Larry King's part. I am surprised that he would act this way. I thought he was a professional at what he does.

It's a roast, people. Spoiler Alert: There may actually be some jokes at the expense of others.

It was a "Roast", all who attend know they can be a target, and it's open season on any elephants (real or imagined) in the room. Admit it, it's funny!

not only is it in poor taste and smacking of ignorance, it is inaccurate. gay men are still men. they do not have the same body parts as we women do. And for the idiot who wanted the know "who is the woman" crawl back under your rock. you probably couldn't get a woman if you were the last man on earth. we would just make sure we had plenty of batteries instead.
anderson wasn't there loser.
Rude and uncalled-for. Go back to bed, old man.

it was probably something he's been dying to say for like forever. now that he doesn't work there anymore he said it.

I think Larry should only make fun of the people AT THE ROAST. Anyone who isn't attending should be off limits to tease about especially when Anderson seems very private about his personal life. If Anderson is gay, let him be the one that decides when he wants everyone to know.

Agreed! Bravo...
i think you should only make fun of people at the roast....plus, is calling anderson a girl really funny?

Larry: are you jealous much?
I seriously think Anderson and Rachel Maddow should be a couple.

Um, that was appropriate. So funny, too.
That joke just wasn't funny in any way. Anderson is the most masculine gay man I've ever seen. How does referring him as a "she" make any sense?

I agree. The pic here in this article he's got that hunky real man look on his face.
