Katherine Heigl Sports New Androgynous 'Do

It looks like Hollywood is taking the "less is more" adage to the extreme, as of late. From Kate Winslet to Jennifer Aniston (and even Justin Bieber), everyone in showbiz seems to be taking their hair to new heights.

'Life as We Know It' star Katherine Heigl has followed suit, as the latest celeb to lop off her locks.

Although Katherine first stepped out with her new 'do for some off-camera errands yesterday, according to E! Online, we can't wait to see what this short, wispy cut looks like when it's styled to make a statement.

Katherine's signature blond bouncy curls have been pitch perfect for her romantic comedy roles, but we have a feeling this new 'do could give Katherine the edge to take on some more demanding projects. She's certainly got the talent to make the switch.

But for now, we're just glad to see Hollywood's leading ladies changing up their locks for a new look rather than going under the knife.

HA! I certainly wouldn't consider Katherine Heigl "older". My goodness, how old are you? 13? (Also--the old habit of cutting hair shorter as people get older has long been proven to be the wrong thing to do in some cases.) I believe people are just getting tired of having so much hair to deal with. Besides, long hair has been around awhile and it's time for a few new looks.

Sally jessy raphael.. Now that is funny, sorry couldn't help it. On a serious side, she's a pretty girl but I really dislike the hair. It does nothing for her. I think you really have to have a pretty face to pull off short hair like this, like Haley Berry. She looks good with it either way. But this hair style is doing nothing for her, grow it out!
