Charlie Sheen's Twins Celebrate Birthday Without Dad

Charlie Sheen's twin boys turned two over the weekend and celebrated with a "lavish" party without their dad, according to Us Weekly.

Sheen's estranged wife Brooke Mueller threw a backyard party this weekend for her sons, Bob and Max, who have been the focus of a nasty and public custody battle.

Co-hosted by family friend Kathy Hilton (Paris Hilton's mom), the party boasted more than 60 guests, including Nicky Hilton, David Katzenberg and 'Real Housewife' Adrienne Maloof.

Balloons and a bounce house had the kids running around and enjoying the afternoon.

"Max and Bob were in heaven running around and sliding down the slide of the bounce house," a source told Us about the party. "They got a ton of presents including tee-ball sets and race cars."

Guests at the boys' birthday bash dined on Chinese chow mein and salad served in takeout containers. And for dessert? A chocolate cake, of course.

As for Mueller, she seemed relieved to have the spotlight on her children and not on the drama surrounding Sheen.

"Brooke seemed to have a good time, too, and was relaxed and happy," said the source. "She seemed focused on her kids and nothing else. There was a lot of security outside at all times to make sure no uninvited guests got in. There was no sign of Charlie at the party."

And that's probably for the best, considering Mueller has a restraining order against Sheen.

The twins weren't the only Sheen children celebrating birthdays this weekend. Sheen's daughter with ex-wife Denise Richards turned seven last week and planned to celebrate with a gymnastics party over the weekend.

Sources claimed there was "no plan for Charlie to attend either party."

Really cute little boys, let's hope they aren't crazy like their father. I think the mother is doing a good thing by keeping Charlie away from the boys, he's a BAD influence on them, kids that age could pick up really bad crazy things and incorporate it into their life. And especially little boys, for some reason they love to imitate their father even if it is strange. My son is handicapped and my husband has a fowl, vile mouth and guess what my son loves to do?? I am mortified all the time when we are out in public, I keep telling my husband to keep his mouth shut around our son, and I tell my son to NEVER copy what daddy says..but the more I tell my husband to watch his mouth the more he does it, just like a 4 yr. old "F" brat. Some times I think I'm living whith a Charlie too, and he's this close to being kicked out.

Could we finally get on to something else other than the "Sheen Saga"? It's really getting old and Charlie is obviously a disturbed individual. If the guy down the block from where you live ranted and raved like Sheen does every day, you wouldn't pay a bit of attention to him. Oh, you might call the police if he was ranting and raving at you but otherwise, you wouldn't bat an eye. Time for the vampire media and the rest of us to move on. Why the fascination with Sheen and everything having to do with him? He's a mental case!

I'm glad to hear the toddlers had a lot of fun on their birthday - that's what birthdays are for. But they do not need "lots of presents." They need two parents who can get beyond their "look at me" lifestyle and raise two children to be responsible people.

Great misleading story. They wrote it like he was a deadbeat dad who refusing to go to his childrens' birthday. His piece of crap wife has a restraining order on him to keep him from being there with his kids on important days like this.

Unfortunately neither Charlies ego or his addcitions will allow him to admit he has a problem. Even to the detriment of his own children. Charlie is going to self destruct. The media needs to stop printing things about him as it only serves to feed his ever enlarging ego. The guy is purely on the defensive. All people have problems but when you start denying them their family that is when things get really crazy. Isolation is not the way to have Charlie change and will probably make things worse as he is still reacting to what others are doing to him based off of his personal choices.

Right. I guess B list celbs like some floozie from a relity show are close personal friends with the 2 year olds.

They were there because they were paid to be there. It is an attempt by her attorneys to publicize the fact that Sheen was on on his Insanity Wins Tour and not concerned about the children. It's all about the child custody and child support court appearances and payments.
