Josh and Anna Duggar Expecting a Son

Hollywood isn't the only place being hit with baby fever: Arkansas is getting its own baby boom thanks to the Duggar family of '19 Kids and Counting' fame.
Josh, 23, the eldest child of the Duggar clan, and his wife, Anna, 22, are expecting their second child this summer.
The couple, who welcomed daughter Mackynzie less than two years ago, discovered the sex of their child in much the same way they do other things: as a family affair.
"We went to the ultrasound and decided that my mom would know," says Josh. "We figured she could handle the secret and then have a surprise sharing of the information with the entire family, including me and Anna."
Anna says, "We thought it was fun to have the whole family hear at the same time and have the excitement together, but it was hard to wait."
PEOPLE reports that the couple are anxiously awaiting the birth of their son and are hoping for his good health, particularly after Josh's sister, Josie, was born nearly four months early.
"Anna is at 26 weeks into the pregnancy now," says Josh. "I think of Josie being born at only 25 weeks, and it makes us think about how precious life is and what a blessing each child is."
While Josh and Anna haven't yet decided if they'll keep with the alliterative naming tradition favored by Jim Bob and Michelle, the pair are intent on raising their child in a religious home.
"Our No. 1 tradition is having Josh read the Bible to the baby," says Anna. "And we tell the baby, 'We love you, and we can't wait to meet you.' We are explaining to Mackynzie about having a new baby in the house. I don't know if she knows the difference between a belly button and a baby, but she is learning."

Seems that these kids are just following what their parents did...too many kids. I hope they have more sense down the road than his parents have had.

What's the difference how many they have? At least they are paying for the children themselves & not mooching off welfare. Congrats to them all !
Sorry, idiot, you have no say in another family's choices. They aren't costing you anything, they're not on welfare. Just because you couldn't handle having a large family doesn't give you the right to bad-mouth those who can.
I hope this pair isn't as gross as his parents, spawning an endless stream of nondescript children. You shouldn't have any more children than you can give individual attention to, and between taking care of babies and getting pregnant with 19 kids, there doesn't seem to be much time for that. I guess the whole idea with the Duggars is making more, and more, not providing a quality upbringing.
i agree with you they need to stop having so many kids it is like they are going to have their ethnicity
I wish EVERYONE was as decent and respectful as their family. You could learn something about life from them, and MAYBE you'd loose your negative attitude toward others and MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!!
When you put yourself on TV because your claim to fame is cranking out babies, you put yourself out as a public figure to be critized or celebrated by potential viewers. People that love that stuff have no more right to an opinion than people who are disgusted by it.
Two down, 17 to go!!!

LOL--I was thinking the same thing, but at least they are not on welfare and dependent on taxpayers to take care of them.
I can promise non of the Duggar children will rebel or be disrespectful to their parents. I have never heard the parents raise their voices at the kids or one another and it appears Josh and Anna have a loving respectful marriage also. Watch how this family will continue to be blessed for they do practice what they preach.

dear you can not predict the future we could all hope that all of the kids will be grow up to be good kids but the reality is you can teach and educate your kids and some of them will go the other path and with so much kids it is impossible to give them the right education
See the kid's will be turned into brood mares and all the son's wives will be this to. These people need to be sterilized. They are all crazy. These show's just promote this stupidity. Cannot believe people actually watch these idiots. Don't these show's just make people who watch it, BRAIN DEAD. You have to be to sit and watch these fools.

@Russ... angry are you? NewsFlash... generalizing groups of people make you appear uneducated, and insipid... "steralized" just proves the point.....lol. For your edification the word is "sterilized"
Well so much for that being what the show is focused on tonite, we already know what they are having.

Awww, congrats Josh and Anna!!
I hope they don't keep doing the same letter thing though, I think it limits them too much with names. But if they do M is a good letter with lots of good names.

Congrats !!!
Its always great to see a couple have child, that know how to take care of the baby.
And they dont depend on the tax payers to pick up the tab.

There is nothing wrong with having a big family as long as one has the means to support such a large brood, and not rely on tax payers. Congrats to Josh and Anna!

Probably not in our lifetime but most certainly the next....they will have to address the world's limited resources and the planets over population. It's going to have to stop at some point.
