Lisa Rinna and Star Jones Got 'Ugly' Behind the Scenes of 'Apprentice'

Lisa Rinna felt the underside of Donald Trump's boot last night on 'Celebrity Apprentice,' and the bad blood between her and Star Jones, the mastermind behind her defeat and the first to throw her under the bus during the episode, could not be any uglier.

"Since the show wrapped, there's been no love lost between Star and Lisa," one of the contestants tells me. "Things got so ugly between them that NBC legal had to get involved."

I'm told that Mark Burnett Productions and the Trump Organization had to step in and get the network involved during Lisa's short stint on the show. Both sides aren't talking about what sparked legal's attention or even who is the culprit in this mess.

That said, you could see from just watching the show that these two ladies clashed from the moment they met. Star pushed to get Lisa chosen as team leader, primarily because she thought she'd blow it and get fired. Even NeNe Leakes admitted it, saying, "We choose Lisa because we didn't think she would handle it, and it's best to get her out now."

Lisa was tasked with spearheading the creation of a children's book, but she soon had to defuse a battle between Marlee Matlin and Dionne Warwick. Throughout it all, she and Star butted heads.

We all knew that Star, the direct-talking lawyer, and the more relaxed Lisa were never going to be friends, but no one could have predicted it would ever get this ugly.

"Lisa feels betrayed by Star and Dionne Warwick and has never in her life been exposed to such a negative environment," a friend of Lisa tells me. "She comes from a place of love and refuses to fight dirty even if that means she would not win. To be honest, she's happy it's all over and has moved on."

"At least she left with her class and dignity in place," Lisa's friend tells me.

With "class" in mind, here's a clip from last night's show when The Donald compliments Lisa's lips.

I like this show and the apprentices this year except for Star and Dionne...they seem like really nasty negative women. I'm a strong, independent woman myself but they seem to take it to the extreme

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH CHRISTYE. I'VE NEVER SEEN SUCH BLATANT UN-COOPERATING WOMEN IN MY LIFE. STAR SAID THEY HAD LISA'S BACK BUT SHE FORGOT TO MENTION SHE HAD A KNIFE IN IT. AND WHAT A NASTY, SELF CENTERED OLD LADY IS DIONNE WARWICK.

I couldn't agree with you more! The whole thing was sickening to watch. I will never hear a Dionnee Warwick song again without recalling her despicable behavior.

I agree! Now we all know why Barbara Walters will not speak to Star anymore. What a conniving wench!! Curious to see how long it will take before she and Dionne turn on each other. Just a matter of time.

Who does Star thinks she is that she wanted her name on the book???? It was a group project but she wanted all the credit and the book didn't even win. She is a bully, now I understand why this self centered person was let go from The VIew...

It is now time for this show to be canceled. Donald Trump wanted this to happen and he already knows who he is going to choose without giving everyone a chance. Who wants people who can't work together and who are so nasty. I don't like what Richard Hatch did the week before. He had no right to push anyone.

Trump will keep Star on the show for a while yet because Star and NeNe get into it BIG TIME in future episodes. With that said, it's blatantly obvious that Star Jones cannot get along with anyone. Star has managed to alienate herself from just about everyone she has ever worked with. It's always Star fighting with someone or another. Also, ASAP most definitely DID push Lisa to be the PM just so they could get her out if they lost the task. My only prayer is that Star does not win this season of Celebrity Apprentice. That would suck.

Wow Dionne is one evil woman, and Star acts like a jealous nasty school girl. I have lost all respect for both of them. Gosh, and I remember thinking Dionne was so neat when she sang the song to that movie years ago, Valley of the Dolls. Loved the theme song. You can change your opinions for sure.

OMG!!! I agree, I have never seen such downright dirty rudeness like the rudeness Dionne and Star gave out last night. I would not have been able to sit there like lisa and take their crap!!! And the nerve of Dionne saying the things she did towards Marlee and deafness?? I also will never listen to Dionne's music again, and as for Star well, she needs to be taken down a few pegs. I think the other women are afraid of these two. I won't be watching anymore.

I agree! Star and Dionne are both so negative and nasty, it was beyond belief! I know it's a "game" but what are these two "strong" women like in the real world? Probably much like we saw them last night, and it wasn't pretty. Those two are crossed off my most admired woman's list! Give me Lisa any day!

I was very disappointed that others did not defend Lisa. Star and Dionne are exposing themselves as perfect examples of the stereotypes women fight against everyday. The fact that they wanted their names on what was a group project made them look petty and foolish. What was the best part and ignored was Lisa's creative influence with the play. Trump is showing himself to be a very poor judge of character lately. His superficial remarks about Lisa's lips proves it.. Star Jones needs to go next and right behind her should be Dionne.. They are not leaders but mean spite filled self serving unattractive women.

After last nite I have lost all respect for Dionne and it only confirmed why Star was booted from the View and I am grateful she was. Those two should go. I hope Donald now sees what these two women are about and boots them real quickly.

TRIED TO TAKE ALL THE CREDIT. THEIR FAMOUS ALREADY AND WHO REALLY CARES........IT WAS A TEAM EFFORT. BUT SOME PEOPLE HAVE TO BE SHOWBOATS AND TRY ADN TAKE ALL THE CREDIT.

I agree! I never liked Star Jones,still don't and never will. I would like to see her and Dionne Warwick go at it, they are two of a kind. They are both obnoxous,offensive (and I use the term loosly) women.
I love this show because seeing these people show their true colors is priceless. Lisa, you rock girl!

I agree 100%, I knew what a cut throat biatch Star Jones is, but I have lost all respect for Dionne Warwick. As far as NeNe goes, she is a coward. I have watched all seasons and this is the first one that really ticked me off. Talk about prejudice, Dionne & Star showed that last night against the deaf!!!

What bothered me is that Dionne Warwick said it was too much for young children to learn about diversity in terms of deaf people. For an older black woman, who had to fight to have equal rights and fight to be accepted in the entertainment business to blow off a deaf person and say defending diversity is not important, wow, wow, wow. It's only important if it is her issue, not if it is a handicapped person's issue. Wow. She should be more sensitive to issues of accepting people with differences than most people.

I will never see Dionne Warwick in the same light ever again..I expected the nasty behavior from Star Jones but Dionne surprised me..ugh to both womens behavior
