Lisa Rinna and Star Jones Got 'Ugly' Behind the Scenes of 'Apprentice'

Lisa Rinna felt the underside of Donald Trump's boot last night on 'Celebrity Apprentice,' and the bad blood between her and Star Jones, the mastermind behind her defeat and the first to throw her under the bus during the episode, could not be any uglier.

"Since the show wrapped, there's been no love lost between Star and Lisa," one of the contestants tells me. "Things got so ugly between them that NBC legal had to get involved."

I'm told that Mark Burnett Productions and the Trump Organization had to step in and get the network involved during Lisa's short stint on the show. Both sides aren't talking about what sparked legal's attention or even who is the culprit in this mess.

That said, you could see from just watching the show that these two ladies clashed from the moment they met. Star pushed to get Lisa chosen as team leader, primarily because she thought she'd blow it and get fired. Even NeNe Leakes admitted it, saying, "We choose Lisa because we didn't think she would handle it, and it's best to get her out now."

Lisa was tasked with spearheading the creation of a children's book, but she soon had to defuse a battle between Marlee Matlin and Dionne Warwick. Throughout it all, she and Star butted heads.

We all knew that Star, the direct-talking lawyer, and the more relaxed Lisa were never going to be friends, but no one could have predicted it would ever get this ugly.

"Lisa feels betrayed by Star and Dionne Warwick and has never in her life been exposed to such a negative environment," a friend of Lisa tells me. "She comes from a place of love and refuses to fight dirty even if that means she would not win. To be honest, she's happy it's all over and has moved on."

"At least she left with her class and dignity in place," Lisa's friend tells me.

With "class" in mind, here's a clip from last night's show when The Donald compliments Lisa's lips.

to me it wasnt black/white but bully non bully,,,i have found that dynamic doesnt depend on race, so many other bogus reasons to take advangage of people

i am glad the viewers saw through the ugliness of star jones, and was a bit surprised at the bitterness of dionne warwick. they both have attitudes, and undoubtedly steeped in hatred from racisim, and have qualms trying to hide it. star throws around the fact she has been a lawyer, and no doubt she has threatened to sue...trump needs to get her and dione fired as quickly as possible.

enough with the racist crap, get over it ,it has nothing to do with them being jealous , Lisa being white, it was bad behavior, last week there was bad behavior and no one brought up race, so why now? It is not a reflection on all black women or people, just like Hatch isnt a reflection on all white men.

People like you who see racism in everything are ruining this nation. Lisa was clearly beyond her capabilities but Star and Dionne's hostility weren't predicated upon anyone's race. They both just seem to be angry, hateful women.

Lisa gave too much controll of the project to Star and Dianne. A Captain always goes down with the ship.

20 years ago, I was shocked by Dionne Warwick's reaction to the OJ trial. She was convinced he was innocently set up by racist America - and not just deluded about this, but had the same nasty attitude she demonstrated last night. It's ugly to watch. Also sad, considering how much success and respect she used to have. It's astonishing that someone who has been treated so well by this country could have such a mean, angry victim attitude.
And in addition, she promoted that phony Psychic Friends' Network, the kind of thing that takes money from people who can least afford it. She's a very sad woman.

How many former co-workers and former friends of Star Jones are laughing their heads off right now. I know the ladies of the View are. This woman is disgusting.

Now I was actually shocked by Warwick's treatment of Matlin and deafness in particular.

I actually think that they would have won the challenge if they had gone for a story about a deaf lion. The kids were mesmerized watching Matlin sign.

I was shocked by the black women in the boardroom last night. It was obvious that they were engaged in a racist crusade against Lisa. My belief is that none of them will step up to be a project manager until they are the only women left. Star appeared to have done something for the team but the other two did NOTHING. The strategy is good until they have to perform and then the men will win four weeks in a row. Final result: A man will be the APPRENTICE
