'Bachelor' Brad and Emily: It's Over Already?
EXCLUSIVE: Moments after Brad Womack
proposed to Emily Maynard on last night's 'Bachelor' finale, millions of fans were shocked to learn that the couple have already gone through a breakup, and while Brad told viewers he was ready for marriage, sources tell me the couple has since broken up for good.
"Emily is so insecure, she just isn't cut out for all the fame and attention her relationship is under," a show insider tells me. "The six weeks of shooting the show in paradise was easy, away from prying eyes and photographers, but since they both returned to their normal lives things have been a disaster."
During the finale, Emily, mom to 5-year-old daughter Ricki, accepted Brad's proposal, beating out fellow contestant Chantal O'Brien for Womack's heart. The actual proposal was a tender, romantic moment of television.
"You're so much more to me than a leap of faith," he said. "You're the one. You're my once in a lifetime. I'm asking you to give me your forever."
Later, Emily admitted having trouble watching Brad get intimate with different ladies every Monday night. She also admitted that Brad's temper in real life also took her by surprise.
Despite their problems, however, Brad has been trying valiantly to make the relationship work and publicly, he's now saying the two are trying to rebound after a bumpy start to the relationship.
"At long last, Emily and I can be open to the world and each other about our relationship," they said in joint statement to
PEOPLE on Tuesday. "Though we are madly in love, it has been a bumpy couple of months for us and our priority right now is to focus on our relationship."
But an in-the-know network producer tells me their problems run deep and go beyond the normal pangs of a distressed couple.
"Emily is not able to forgive Brad for what she considers cheating week-after-week with other girls," my source says. "It's always hard sending the couple back into reality after they have been living in paradise, but no one in the history of the show has had as hard a time adjusting as Emily."
Like many fans, my source "would love to say they are going to make it, but they don't. After we taped the 'After the Rose,' it was clear to everyone that this one was not going to work."
Too bad, we were rooting for you.

They should be forced to marry! After all, thats what the show is about..... two gold digging, fame seekers ! This the future of our Country ! Great..... just great !
You beat me to it! Does anyone actually believe this crap is real? No wonder other countries hate us...
"it was all a show"...there it was said...get it?
Funny, yet you read this article and still felt the need to reply, yet you call it crap. If I didn't care, I wouldn't waste my time.
I have to agree....so much for the science of TV...LMAO...the idiots who taped this.....didnt realize the sotry of the split up was already posted around the internet....which I did not have to read to know for sure...Brad is a two faced player...with an IQ of his show size...saying the same exact words to each lady...LMAO...little two faced I'd say...just because someone was "Runner-Up" on a previous failure...doesnt make them a prime canidate for the next show...this proves this beyond words.....She can do alot better than this...
I can't believe this Rob Shuter person takes this crap seriously. "The actual proposal was a tender, romantic moment of television." Are you kidding me?
to rlnyny
Apparently, so do you................
I watch it for entertainment, it is funny to watch all of the cattiness involved between all of these women and sometimes men (on the Bechelorette) vying for one person.
he will never marry
he likes girls for friends get it
Drsensai, before you bash someone about their IQ, perhaps you should learn to spell. Just what exactly is Brad's 'show' size?
I don't watch this show but I would think she would have watched it before she went on the show. Really...she didn't know he was being intimate with the other women when he was with them? Silly, silly people.
most people don't think, they are like sheep. why do you think these realty shows are so popular.
right..... it is a farce !!!!!
.....this stupid women; putting themselves out there ~~ light fresh pieces of meat!!!
they should not cry; they are opening themselves up for "public humiliation" !!!!
Yep. These idiots can have their own show, chase fame and the almighty dollar, and lead their equally stupid fans down the "TV as Reality" path... but Gay marriage is still illegal in the good 'ol USA. Justice is TRULY blind, unless you have good ratings! Then the bytch opens her eyes and starts grabbing for money.
@Mike- No, Mike, other countries (inlcuding America) hate YOU. America is a wonderful country! You are so fortunate to live here. Think about third-world countries. What if you lived there? We are so fortunate to live here and if for some reason any country hated us it would be because we Americans are so awesome!
Brad should have picked Chantal. She really cared about Brad. Emily was a fake from the start.

Really? She loved him so much that she already has a new boyfriend who she was not going to mention on the show last night??? Glad Brad brought that up when she was trying to act so hurt and rejected.
I agree.! Emily doesn't seem to really know what she wants or what planet she is on..True Blonde.
@Barb..remember it's already been 6 mths since filming ended. Do you really think Chantel should wait longer to find love? Sometimes it just happens, matter of fact, in the REAL world that is exactly how it happens...timing be d@mned
