'Bachelor' Brad and Emily: It's Over Already?
EXCLUSIVE: Moments after Brad Womack
proposed to Emily Maynard on last night's 'Bachelor' finale, millions of fans were shocked to learn that the couple have already gone through a breakup, and while Brad told viewers he was ready for marriage, sources tell me the couple has since broken up for good.
"Emily is so insecure, she just isn't cut out for all the fame and attention her relationship is under," a show insider tells me. "The six weeks of shooting the show in paradise was easy, away from prying eyes and photographers, but since they both returned to their normal lives things have been a disaster."
During the finale, Emily, mom to 5-year-old daughter Ricki, accepted Brad's proposal, beating out fellow contestant Chantal O'Brien for Womack's heart. The actual proposal was a tender, romantic moment of television.
"You're so much more to me than a leap of faith," he said. "You're the one. You're my once in a lifetime. I'm asking you to give me your forever."
Later, Emily admitted having trouble watching Brad get intimate with different ladies every Monday night. She also admitted that Brad's temper in real life also took her by surprise.
Despite their problems, however, Brad has been trying valiantly to make the relationship work and publicly, he's now saying the two are trying to rebound after a bumpy start to the relationship.
"At long last, Emily and I can be open to the world and each other about our relationship," they said in joint statement to
PEOPLE on Tuesday. "Though we are madly in love, it has been a bumpy couple of months for us and our priority right now is to focus on our relationship."
But an in-the-know network producer tells me their problems run deep and go beyond the normal pangs of a distressed couple.
"Emily is not able to forgive Brad for what she considers cheating week-after-week with other girls," my source says. "It's always hard sending the couple back into reality after they have been living in paradise, but no one in the history of the show has had as hard a time adjusting as Emily."
Like many fans, my source "would love to say they are going to make it, but they don't. After we taped the 'After the Rose,' it was clear to everyone that this one was not going to work."
Too bad, we were rooting for you.

I think that Emily is not the right one for Brad. He has listened to her go on and on about her dead fiance, her fears about letting anyone in to her life or Ricki's, etc. She is sad and morose and living in her past baggage. Run Brad Run!
So how do explain all of the sightings last night in Austin after the finale aired? The ATFC was filmed last week. They did a PEOPLE photoshoot last Wedneday and there are multiple pictures of them together last night on Twitter. I think your source doesn't know much. They are indeed not over for good.

where are the pictures on Twitter?
Emily needs to RUN. Brad has some deep issues and only he knows what the hell is wrong...he is 38 yrs old and having panic attacks...and his temper must be out of control. Ricky doesn't need a dad like that.

Actually, age has absolutely nothing to do with panic attacks, as millions of people of all ages suffer from them. That said, remember that editing plays a huge role in what the viewers percieve as truth. By all accounts, it appears that Brad's temper is the end result of Emily's insecurities. If this couple is truly meant to be, then they will find a way to make their relationship work. It's called being intentional.
I totally agree with you. I think Brad apppears to be mentally unbalanced, almost always has a mean look in his eyes, and with his temper, Emily should not have Brad living with her and especially, her daughter.
This show is utter garbage. Now it's time for me to watch Dancing with the Stars, Celebrity Apprentice, Jersey Shore, Celebrity Re-hab, Teen Mom-2, 16 and Pregnant, and Real Housewives.

She needs to grow up! Really, cheating? Did she know what show she signed up for? That's the concept! He was there to find his wife, the show wasn't about her finding a husband.

Really??? I agree with you Jen. Did she not know what the shows about? did she ever watch the show before...geez!!! earth to Emily wake up!!! I just think shes very insecure, and probably shouldnt have ever been on that show. Shes still in love with her dead fiancee and she will never be able to move on till she gets past that. Plus she is not going anywhere, she would not of left and gone to Austin...she knows where her bread is buttered and its called the good old Hendrick money...shes no fool. Brad, I just think hes set in his ways and i dont think the man will ever get married.
If she didn't like seeing Brad fool around with other women, then don't watch the show! There's an old saying, "If you don't want to know the answers, don't ask the questions." It's a TV show, and I am sure lots of that behavior is staged for television to get viewers--everybody loves to watch somebody who is trying to find a spouse "get busy" with all the contestants. It's no fun to watch boring dates! But, if you've watched the show before, you know what goes on--so if you're the winner and you're the jealous type, it's probably not a good idea to watch your fiance making out with other women. However, if you think you're going to find the love of your life on a show like this, you have very high aspirations.
It's all about the ratings.....a shame what is considered wholesome TV these days...

Emily wants to "be famous" and wasn't looking for love. How does
a 25 year old who is and event planner for a children's hospital
have such a nice home? Her job doesn't pay that well. How old
was she when she had Ricki? Wasn't the father from some race car
family? Is she a jersey chaser type..yes!

Not some race car driver, he was very successful in a mega racing family. Her daughter is the granddaughter to billionaire Rick Hendrick owner of Hendrick Motorsports that Forbes recently valued at 360 million dollars. Yeah I doubt Brad the Bachelor is moving up in the world.
Elle her boyfriend was Ricky Hendrick JR and his father is Rick Hendrick . Big bucks in that family, he owns race car teams in Nascar and owns car dealerships. Thats another reason I knew she wasnt gonna move to texas or get married...shes no dummy, she knows where her bread is buttered...Its called Hendrick money!!!!
Emily was engaged to Ricky Hendrick who is Rick Hendrick's son. Rick owns Jeff Gordon, Jimmy Johnson and other race car teams. Ricki is Rick's granddaughter so Im sure she is well taken care of.
When the black dress stepped out of the limo, I knew it was over.
It was over for all three of them....Chantal, Brad and Emily.
I only wish that it could have worked out for Emily and Brad and of course little Ricki.
p.s. I loved seeing Trista and Ryan.

I watch the entire series, because my wife was interested. Love just couldn't happen in the true sense. The settings are much too artificial. I just cannot understand, from a male perspective, how a gal can go through the entire process, and then not want to be married to someone she claimed to love.

thie guy is gay and wants to be a hollywood star. he's pushing 40 and has never even been close to marriage. gay, gay, gay...not that there's anything wrong with that, i'm gay!

And we should be suprised because ????? He's an idiot. I wouldn't watch this show if it were the only thing on TV.

Lets give Emily a break. I was upset that the fairy tale got squashed like everyone else last night, but after you think about it... right on girlfriend! Bad temper..knockdown blowout fights, hello (ie. verbal abuse and scary!) She's absolutely right to put a screech on the brakes and see how it plays out in real life. She's got a child! He is beautiful, and so is she and she is correct that she better set the tone now, before really getting married, and let him know that that behavior is NOT ok!
Hopefully they can work it out, she can stop worrying about the other girls - it was a tv show afterall and all of it was part of it. He seemed very sincerely in love with her. He did not change rules or act so besotted with Anyone Else. Time to forget about the others and work on just the two of them.
