Bradley Cooper on Four-Month Marriage to Jennifer Esposito

Bradley Cooper is very happily dating Renee Zellweger, and many can't wait to see when the 'Limitless' actor will propose to his longtime girlfriend. But is the actor afraid of marriage after his first one failed after just four short months? He stopped by Howard Stern's Sirius XM radio show this morning and discussed just that.

Cooper married 'Blue Bloods' actress Jennifer Esposito in December 2006; Esposito filed for divorce just four months later in May 2007.

"It was just something that happened," Cooper said about his quick marriage [via UsMagazine.com]. "The good thing is, we both realized it ... Sometimes you just realize it. It just wasn't right. It's interesting ... things happen!"

When the talk show host asked if it turned him off of marriage for good, Cooper said that wasn't true. "Making any declarative statement [like that] is a joke," he said with a chuckle.

Cooper insisted he hadn't proposed yet to current ladylove Zellweger. He also revealed to the talk show host that they met six years ago on the set of their movie, 'Case 39,' but then went awhile without seeing each other. "Then I didn't see her for a long time," Cooper explained. "I got married."

One other nugget Cooper admitted to Stern: the age he lost his virginity. "I didn't lose my virginity until I was 17," he confessed.

Maybe this article should have also mentioned Renee's very brief marriage to Kenny Chesney. Let's hope these two have more luck with each other than they did with past spouses.

I love it when some doofus says "It just happened" for when they fell in love or their marriage breaks up. There's a reason for everything & people should hold themselves more accountable.

I now wonder if she wasn't pregnant and they hurried up and got married (like ALOT of these hollyweird types do now).
She may have then miscarried and then they went ahead and divorced since the only reason they may have gotten married is for the baby.
He was brought up Roman Catholic...so probably insisted they get married when she got preggars.
I know it's not nice to speculate -- and it's sad if that's what happened -- but that probably is exactly what happened.
I hope they both find happiness and are more careful about family planning. :)

I'm a straight chick but Jennifer Esposito is gorgeous. Renee will never be that attractive but she might try snacking on something. She's too damn thin.

Renee is a weird girl. She cites "fraud" for her brief marriage to Kenny Chesney. Hmmmm... That is interesting in itself. I wouldn't go nowheres near her. Renee is not really a good actress and in my opinion, is just missing a tail.

News is Bradley did the right thing...he fessed up and admitted to Renee that he is a bisexual. He actually had the decency to do that. This does not suit Renee, however they are still friends, but the relationship got strained to snapping point. Goodluck to both of them.
