'Jersey Shore' Star Pauly D Lands Dream DJ Job

It looks like 'Jersey Shore' star Pauly D is ditching the shore for the desert this summer. The tanned and toned reality star just landed a job as the exclusive resident DJ at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, according to Life & Style.

"This is huge for me. It's what I've always wanted, and I can't wait to start," he dished.

Pauly D, whose real name is Paul Delvecchio, has been touring clubs around the country and making guest DJ appearances in between filming seasons of the hit MTV show, which is currently in its third season.

"For me this is the biggest thing I could ever ask for," he said about his new gig, which starts this summer. "I have been deejaying my entire life, and for the Palms to lock me down as a resident DJ, I've reached my ultimate goal."

According to L&S, he'll be the first-ever DJ to spin on all the Palms properties, which includes the Palms pool and the Rain and Moon hotel nightclubs.

Palms owner George Maloof is excited to have the 'Jersey Shore' star on board.

"I am thrilled to have Pauly D as an exclusive Vegas resident and to welcome him to our family at Palms Casino Resort," Maloof said. "I have witnessed his rise to fame over the last couple of years, and his talent and crowd-pleasing abilities will continue to do unparalleled things for our property and our guests."

In addition to his new Palms gig, Pauly D heads to Italy for the fourth season of 'Jersey Shore' this spring, and will begin filming a reported 'Jersey Shore' spinoff of his own.

Although I am not a fan of the Jersey Shore bunch I have to say that at least this guy used the fame to further the career he had before he was on the show. Others are just being paid to show up at events and pose in playboy, etc. He is stinking to his "pre-Jersey Shore" career and using his "fame" to further it.

I am not a fan of the show, but I can't hate on Pauly. Despite what I have seen the few times I have watched the show, whenever I read any interviews with him or see him being interviewed, he seems like a decent enough person.
