Selena Gomez Opens Up About Justin Bieber, Relates to 'Haters'

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber have been reluctant to comment on their relationship -- until now. Gomez stopped by Z100, where she opened up about Bieber and revealed she actually relates to everyone who hates that they are together.

After giggling about Bieber and their tweets to each other, Gomez revealed that it's not always easy dating the most popular boy in the world.

"It's hard," she said when talking about "haters" on the Internet. "It hurts, it really does. I don't feel like I'm doing anything wrong. I've been best friends with him for a very long time. It does hurt my feelings a lot, but I try not to focus on it. I have a such a strong family and great fans."

But it wasn't too long ago that the singer found herself on the other side of a celebrity crush.

"I will say that I agree with them sometimes," she said. "I loved Jesse McCartney. I was obsessed with him. He dated Katie Cassidy when he was 16 or 17. I hated her -- absolutely hated her. I was mortified that he was with Katie and I wanted to be with him. He was my screen saver!"

However, now things seem to have come full circle for Gomez.

"I just did a movie ['Monte Carlo'] with Katie Cassidy, and she was the nicest person ever."

i dont like jb for her, however thats not my business and neither yours. i think that if they are happy then let them enjoy a sweet phase from their lives. they are not harming anyone and we should spend our times in more important things like japan's dissaster, and gas prices than some puppy love.

i actually don't see what she sees in him, she's way much better than him, so beautiful. he seems nice, but it's a kid (not because of the age, but image), and she seems like a woman, well hope they are happy during the time they are together...

What is the big deal with their age? There is a less than two year age difference. No one would bat an eye if Selena were 17 and Justin were 18. I myself am 19 and many of my friends have boy-friends who are still in high school; and not seniors but sophmores and juniors. It's not that big of a deal.

Honestly, Selena gets more beautiful day by day it seems. I know from just seeing her on the Disney channel that she'd be cute when she grew up but damn, she's beautiful. Her eyes are absolutely drop dead gorgeous. Justin doesnt deserve her in my opinion.

Such a double standard. If he was 18 and she was 17, no one would think that was weird. But since she's older, it's automatically insane and inappropriate. I am 26 and my boyfriend is 24... I've never been happier with anyone else. Some people have said that I'm 'robbing the cradle,' but no one said that to my ex-boyfriend who was 6 years older than me... but somehow, being 2 years older than my current boyfriend is just 'insane.' Give me a break.

Justin and Selena are such a cute couple, they are both really talented they're perfect for each other. I just hope they don't break up because of all those haters that are threatening Selena. She did nothing wrong, those haters are just jealous because the want to be with him, well the odds of that happening are 1 in a million. So let them be.
