'American Idol' contestant Stefano Langone might be a little bit of a hypocrite: After tearfully talking in his audition about a narrow scrape with death in a 2009 drunken driver-related car crash, it turns out Langone himself was nabbed for DUI just a year after the incident.Star magazine writes Langone was busted by a Washington State Patrol trooper for "speeding and changing lanes without signaling." Langone then failed a field sobriety test and was arrested.
"While en route [to police headquarters], Langone began singing," the arresting trooper said in his report, which Star obtained.

Didn't one of the head people in MADD just get busted for a DUI not to long ago. Everyone makes mistakes and should not be punished for them the rest of there lives, he's doing more than most of us ever will and I hope he wins just because of people making a big deal of this.
I did, that's why I read down here...They haven't even had elimination night.

People, the DUI was in 2010. If your pissed he's still on the show all this happened before the show. You and I didn't know this happened to him until we read this, so hopefully he learned. Now, some including himself may think he has more to lose now but I only hope he realizes he almost lost his life and that is more than anything. And if it takes a little bit of fame, maybe him knowing America's watching will make him aware that the third chance at life is more than most can hope for. Please, I know the spotlight encourages corruption, but don't refer to Lohan, Hilton, or worse, Sheen.

wow I'm shocked at all the people excusing this behavior. Driving drunk is extremely serious, selfish, stupid and he could have killed somebody. Would be excusing him then? He's lucky he didn't kill anyone.
This isn't just a little mistake, DUI's are serious anyone who has had a loved one killed by a dumb drunk knows this. He shouldn't be on the show.
