'American Idol' contestant Stefano Langone might be a little bit of a hypocrite: After tearfully talking in his audition about a narrow scrape with death in a 2009 drunken driver-related car crash, it turns out Langone himself was nabbed for DUI just a year after the incident.Star magazine writes Langone was busted by a Washington State Patrol trooper for "speeding and changing lanes without signaling." Langone then failed a field sobriety test and was arrested.
"While en route [to police headquarters], Langone began singing," the arresting trooper said in his report, which Star obtained.

Drunk driving is one of the most selfish and dangerous acts. It kills or maims not only the victim, but robs the family of its bread winner, father, mother, brother, sister, son, daughter, and more. Drunk drivers repeat their behavior until they are stopped. the people who excuse his behavior either drive drunk themselves or
never consider what would happen if someone they loved were injured by these self-absorbed potential killers. Criminal behavior should not be rewarded or idolized.

Did anyone notice the headline said "ex-Idol Star"? How can he be an "ex" if he's still on the show?

The truth is, he was never arrested for a DUI. He was, and the Idol people know all of this, arrested for reckless driving once. It was not a DUI. He was not drinking under the influence. So this story is an out and out lie. I know this from his family, who never tried to hide anything. You people who are judging him need to realize that not everything you read is true.

Oh, yes....Stefano, do what you want, kill someone while drinking and driving and please, please be my kid's role model, while you're at it.
Seriously....take a good look at the kid in Las Vegas that was underage, drinking and driving and killed 5 out of 7 people in an SUV. Superbowl Sunday, a few years ago....a mother was driving with her kids and some friends in her SUV when this Jayne kid ran the stop and killed 5 of them. It was on the corner of Tenaya and Farm in 2008, I think.
Encourage Stefano to be a drunk punk. At some point that stuff catches up with you. Karma!

Somebody replied "he just got a DUI..." Just a DUI? He could have hurt himself and ruined his life or worse, he could've killed himself or some innocent person. Drinking While Intoxicated is SERIOUS trouble and can ruin lives. I hope he never does that again. He seems like such a nice guy and talented...why throw it all away? Good Luck to him and God Bless. Please don't DUI again, Stefano, Life is tough enough, you don't need that on you.

Sure...when he kills your kid and puts you in a wheelchair for life while high on jack daniels....i'll volunteer to sit on the jury and "give him a break". would that be okay with you?
(counting the days.......)
OMG!!!!! Doesn't AI vet these contestants?!!! I mean - - this guy survived a DUI crash...then goes out and DRIVES DRUNK a year later -- he could have KILLED someone...and they have his parents all up in there touching his face and fake crying!
Dude will NEVER get my vote -- sober up kid -- before you kill someone.
I'm killing something for you right now -- your AI dreams brother!

Don't talk to me about DUI or DWI's. I lost two people I loved very deeply to drunk drivers.
