Billy Ray Cyrus Calls Off His Divorce

Billy Ray Cyrus wants to get his family back together. Though he filed for divorce from his wife, Tish, in October of last year, it seems he's had a change of heart.

"I've dropped the divorce," Cyrus, 49, told the ladies on 'The View' (via PEOPLE). "I want to put my family back together ... Things are the best they've ever been." His full interview will air on Friday.

"I feel like I got my Miley back," he added during Thursday's taping. "I feel like we're the daddy and daughter we were before 'Hannah Montana.'"

Just last month, in a lengthy profile for GQ, Cyrus blamed the Disney show 'Hannah Montana' for the current trouble in his family, which includes his divorce from wife of 17 years.

"I hate to say it, but yes, I do. I'd take it back in a second," he said of the show, which shot Miley to stardom.

He also claimed he'd been made the "fall guy" for whenever negative news surrounds his family, referencing his daughter's Vanity Fair cover shoot controversy, in which the teenage star was photographed with just a sheet covering her.

"Every time the train went off the track ... her people, or as they say in today's news, her handlers, every time they'd put [the blame on] me ... I took it because I'm her daddy ... OK, nail me to the cross," he told GQ.

But now he's focusing on fixing his family. "'Hannah Montana' didn't ruin my family," he said during the 'View' taping. "Fame did."

"Sometimes when you get in this ride," he said, "you feel like you're strapped to a rocket."

Uh, it's a little late for Miley to be 'guided by both parents', 'hhappyteach.' That train has left the station a loooong time ago...hard to chase that horse down and get him back in the barn when he's been raising the gate and letting himself out to go to pasture on his own.

A child is never too old to be influenced by its Parents. Kids still need advice, even if it is more in the 'Adult Friend/Parent' category. Parents CAN sometimes learn from their kids. I have.

I believe that, he shouldnt blame the whole thing on the show, "Hannah Montana", Tish cheated, she was gonna cheat either way because she wasnt a 100% faithful, and Miley changed because she was crazy to be an adult not because of the show, I applaud him for getting his family back together. And the blamed him because HE IS HER FATHER, he raised her for pete's sake.

Cop out to blame hannah montanna-a tween show on the break up of his marriage or family-if it werent for hannah montanna-miley cyrus wouldnt be a muti millionaire-she doesnt have to lift a finger or bong for the rest of her life-i have read by the time she is 21 she will be a billionaire-easy for billy to blame the fame after its all said and done & he and his family made cuhzillions off of that character....they will divorce-give them 18 mnths...place ur bets...it never works after affairs.

What a prize Tish is..four illegitimate kids by three different men, two by Billy (the last being Miley) before his own Dad insisted he marry the girl, then another child to ensure her support for another eighteen years when the first two men did not pony up. Now she has lived off her daughter for all this time and cheated (allegedly) and what a surprise that would be with her history right? This is Miley's "moral" example? Her daughter did inherit her pretty eyes so that is something I guess. Billy, you could do better. Maybe.

This is wonderful. I am so happy for them. Forgiveness. Fresh Starts. Now maybe Miley can slow down a bit and put priorities and her future on a better path. As for being critical about how her parents were when they were kids, and why they got married, we all have a PAST HISTORY. In the span of 20 years people can grow.
