Billy Ray Cyrus Calls Off His Divorce

Billy Ray Cyrus wants to get his family back together. Though he filed for divorce from his wife, Tish, in October of last year, it seems he's had a change of heart.

"I've dropped the divorce," Cyrus, 49, told the ladies on 'The View' (via PEOPLE). "I want to put my family back together ... Things are the best they've ever been." His full interview will air on Friday.

"I feel like I got my Miley back," he added during Thursday's taping. "I feel like we're the daddy and daughter we were before 'Hannah Montana.'"

Just last month, in a lengthy profile for GQ, Cyrus blamed the Disney show 'Hannah Montana' for the current trouble in his family, which includes his divorce from wife of 17 years.

"I hate to say it, but yes, I do. I'd take it back in a second," he said of the show, which shot Miley to stardom.

He also claimed he'd been made the "fall guy" for whenever negative news surrounds his family, referencing his daughter's Vanity Fair cover shoot controversy, in which the teenage star was photographed with just a sheet covering her.

"Every time the train went off the track ... her people, or as they say in today's news, her handlers, every time they'd put [the blame on] me ... I took it because I'm her daddy ... OK, nail me to the cross," he told GQ.

But now he's focusing on fixing his family. "'Hannah Montana' didn't ruin my family," he said during the 'View' taping. "Fame did."

"Sometimes when you get in this ride," he said, "you feel like you're strapped to a rocket."

The fact that he forgave his wife for cheating should earn Billy some respect. It takes a lot to forgive a betrayal like that.....he's obviously a good, solid man!

I wonder if Billy Ray ever had a DNA test to determine if Miley is actually his. She doesn't look anything like him, and with Tish's past, and obvious present activities I would want to know.

I am glad for the Cyrus family. I hope things work out. Miley needs to chill-down a bit and work on staying grounded. Avoid the Hollywood lifesytle.

I am no fan of Miley's, but its nice that they will stay together. I never cared for Billy, never will. No real man would use their own daughter for money and fame.
Billy may have helped her get on the hanna m. but it was Miley that did all of the work. I have never seen Billy do any thing but talk about Miley, and the song achey breaky thing.
I will begin to have a little respect for billy, when he gets a job that doesnt count on his daughter.

Didn't Billy also star on Hannah Monatana? Only caught a bit of it here and there, but I think he played her Dad on the show, meaning he was working too. I hope they do work it out, it would be nice to see a couple put some effort into their marriages instead of blowing if off.

I hope it does last for Billy ray for he appears down to earth and to stay together as a Family would be the ideal thing. Unfortunately a Woman that cheats (or a Man) usually can't stop! It's like a sickness in their head. They know what they should do, but can't... For Billy Ray's sake I hope I'm wrong this time!
