Christina Aguilera Admits Life Under the 'Microscope' Is Hard
Christina Aguilera is gearing up for her new coaching
role on NBC's 'The Voice' and opened up for the first time since her public drinking
detainment earlier this month.
According to
Us Magazine, the singer admits it's hard living a life constantly in the public eye.
"We're only able to be seen through the microscope of the media and what people gossip about," she told Us.
Aguilera, 30, is no stranger to the spotlight, and says she has learned how to express her true self through her work.
"You take the good with the bad," she said. "It's by telling our stories, sharing our experiences and really giving a first hand look at us as human beings [that shows] who we really are apart from what we seem to be."
For now, she's focusing on her new role on 'The Voice,' and is quick to point out its differences from 'American Idol.'
"'The Voice' isn't about tearing people down," she said. "I want to bring people up. I want to empower them and give them all the tools I had. I love that I get to be apart of that."
Though 2011 hasn't exactly been the best year for the singer, she's hopeful that her new gig with fellow coaches Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton will turn things around.
"I am ready to share it all so I'm really excited," she gushed. "I hope we can find the next biggest thing. But I'm not looking for vocal acrobatics. I really sincerely want to be moved by raw talent."
'The Voice' premieres April 26 at 9PM ET on NBC.

But you must acknowledge that getting arrested brings a certain extra amount of scrutiny that you must take ownership of. Being famous isn't easy I'm sure but the crazier you live your life the crazier your press gets.
Anyway, I'm actually a lil' more interested in seeing this show than The X Factor to be honest.

Then stop acting like an idiot in public, plus looking like a tranny doesn't help much.

Life under the microscope is hard? Try it on welfare or the unemployment line. With all her money and security she should be happy as a pig in mud. How can you whine when you're a millionaire and most of the people in the world are starving..
