Donald Trump Emerges as 'Just a Little' Bit Birther

In another sign he is ogling the White House, Donald Trump joined the birther-curious community on Thursday in an interview with ABC's 'Good Morning America,' fully airing his doubts that President Obama was born -- or even raised -- in the United States.

He premised his skepticism by defending others who don't believe the president is a native-born citizen. "Anybody that even gives any hint of being a birther ... they label them an idiot," he said. "And let me tell you, I'm a really smart guy ... The reason I have a little doubt, just a little, is because he grew up and nobody knew him."

He then challenged the interviewer, Ashleigh Banfield, to mine his past if he were to run and secure the Republican nomination.

"You may go back and interview people from my kindergarten," he said. "They'll remember me. Nobody comes forward. Nobody knows who he is until later in his life. It's very strange. The whole thing is very strange."

According to his biography, Obama attended Noelani Elementary School in Honolulu for kindergarten, then moved to Indonesia where he attended St. Francis Assisi Catholic School for three years.

The 'Celebrity Apprentice' host then laid out what he would do regarding several foreign policy matters of the day:
• On Libya, he'd endorse a "surgical strike" on the country's rogue dictator, Col. Muammar Gadhafi
• On Somali pirates, he'd roll up "an Admiral and a couple of ships" and "wipe them out of the sea so fast."

Following these pledges of international policing, Trump seemingly railed against such actions while also lamenting China's precipitous rise on the international stage.

"While we spend billions of dollars a week on being the policemen for the world, China's spending billions of dollars a day on taking over the world, economically. That's not a good formula for us."

Oh, the interview took place on Trump's private jet.

OMG the Donald, if he ever runs and wins I be moving out of this country, back to my European roots. I cannot beliefe he has doubts about Obama beeing born here and buys into the same american stupidity, like so many others. Dumb and Dumber is alive in this country, it's mindboggling

He is also just a little bit credible and a little bit pregnant. There are many other "little" things that trump (lower case) is "just a little bit" of. He's been called "a little bit crazy" by others. It is all of these tiny fragments that make up "the donald" (lower case). Yet no coherent whole emerges. Vote for megalomaniacs like this at your peril.

If the president were white no one would even question his citizenship. Birthers are racists disguished as birthers. The truth is readily available. I'm sorry we as a country can't get past this.

it is a shame to have donald haven't attended Wharton to think as if there are few screws missing in his head. Wherever there is a camera and microphone, he is there to say anything to be recognised. I would vote for Trump, he is the only on who has the balls to say it like it is. As far as filing bankruptsies all business men do that it doesn't mean there broke. At least he would make a decision not like the clown thats in the White House now.

It may be a conspiracy, but it ain’t crazy. There’s just something way off when the first Executive Order by our new president is to block any access to his private records. If someone applied to a job with the kind of background Obama provides, they wouldn’t get clearance to the mailroom

Don't count this guy out, I'm telling you. He may be a big wind-bag, but man, he tells it like it is. China -- Donald will call it. Tax 'em. Are they our enemy, and do they want to take over the US, if not by force, by financial might? Yep. What happened to our manufacturing sector? Donald knows. Everyone who is foolish enough to think that this very smart man, albeit an egotistical man, can't rouse the troops is wrong, dead wrong. He's a patriot, he held Reagan in esteem, his views tend to learn more towards the right, and he loves our troops. Yep...Donald J. Trump can feel this one out. He's going into 2012 strong.

I would vote for Donald, he knows how to make a decision, precise, accurate, and if he would do what needs to be done to wipe the, so called, Somali Pirates off of the face of the earth he would definitely get my vote. I can't believe no one stops them, they are just murdering criminals and our with the exception of the one Seal team shooting our military is told not to hurt them.

But Donald why would you grant Ashley Banfield and interview, she is one pitiful excuse for a human being.

Yeah, but he DID play ball in HS and college - his team mates knew him. i have seen a couple of his old teachers talk about him too... Donald is barking up the wrong tree here. as if anyone in their right mind would vote for the King of selfishness and hubris.
