Lady Gaga's style is certainly one-of-a-kind, but her songs may not be.Gaga's most recent single, 'Born This Way,' drew criticism when it was first released for sounding strikingly similar to Madonna's 'Express Yourself.' Now the pop star is coming under fire again for her sound-alike song.
Sources allege that Gaga's song sounds so much like a song by nine-member South Korean girl group SNSD that it may have been plagiarized. Fans of the Seoul-based band are claiming that Gaga ripped off major sections of 'Be Happy,' a song from SNSD's 2010 album 'Oh!'

the only thing that sounds the same to me is the music. definitely NOT THE LYRICS!!!

English lyrics don't sound like Korean lyrics?! No freaking way!
not every one listen for the lyrics only. if u only care for the words and not the song it self. just read why bother listen? the word "music" does not stand for "lyrics" aka words only.
So Born this Way seems to copy both Madonna AND this Koren group? I would think harmless similarity if it was one or the other, but I have to admit, I'm thinking plagiarism.
It may be rash, but honestly, think on it. The rhythm/melodies are taken from one artist, the words are taken from another artist, and the video is taken from the mind of Charlie Sheen when he banged 7-gram rocks.
Is there really anything original in this song?

oh that just made me laugh so frickin hard LMAO

oops. *on popeater*
Lady GAGA isn't orginal at all, but who is? wearing costumes, or being weird, or sexual, or an artist has been done, she may be fun to watch, but cetainly not orginal in none of her music or costumes...she quite lame cause that's not her real personality and just does it as an act or for attention...I seen her interviews and when she was on MTv prank show, she didn't dress weird, nor does she say outlandish shxt so what makes her ACT so great, Madonna did it, and countless other pop stars, it's like saying M.Jackson is the greatest dancer and singer, that was given to him too much in my opinion, he had four brothers and sisters that could do that, and many of black kids can dance like him, and some whites as well, so just because we like a persons music dont make me orginal...it's been done believe me.

Nah it's not a rip off. That ridiculous. There are literally millions of songs that have bee written there are bound to be songs that are similar particularly when you manipulate one song to match another, then of course they are going to sound alike. What ever similarities there are, and they are small, they are inconsequential. I would say the Nk band is just blowing smoke to get the notoriety.

the NK band dont have to blow smoke for populatiry there one of the main stars in the koreans wave and have more dedicated fans then any amrican fan could ever dream of having, there are simmalar though its i major issue to NK becuse they get there music ripped off of them alot
do you know a thing about music? have u taken any actual music lessons? are you like deaf that u find millions songs literally sounds alike? music that have sounded a like aren't a coincidence. a measure might sound alike not like half the song. and for your information the song isnt manipulated its called pitch. it did not change the tune of the song it just made it lower octave. because for none educated music people they think a different octave changes the tune.
I thought she stole it from Santa Claus. Who cares!!

well i am not a fan of gaga ..
but it doesn't mean she was the one that made
all the choices in the production of this song or others
it is her producer if any thing
and in the music industry nowadays
no one wants to admit that something was" sampled "
and its that simple
i mean personally i never seen her as original, something fresh and new in a sense cause to me gaga is the modern day Madonna
but hey that's just my opinion...and truth be told this was plagiarism.

Songs do sound the same. You cannot know if lyrics are rip off cause Korean group is not singing in American.

Speaking in American?
English I'm sure you meant.
At the rate things are going, they'll say "Born This Way" was ripped off from Led Zeppelin.
