Lady Gaga's style is certainly one-of-a-kind, but her songs may not be.Gaga's most recent single, 'Born This Way,' drew criticism when it was first released for sounding strikingly similar to Madonna's 'Express Yourself.' Now the pop star is coming under fire again for her sound-alike song.
Sources allege that Gaga's song sounds so much like a song by nine-member South Korean girl group SNSD that it may have been plagiarized. Fans of the Seoul-based band are claiming that Gaga ripped off major sections of 'Be Happy,' a song from SNSD's 2010 album 'Oh!'

They're only vaguely similar...definitely couldn't confuse the two. The beats are alike, but there's TONS of songs that sound alike or even the exact same & no-one freaks out over those. Ok, so there are people who don't like Lady Gaga...why waste your time bit**ing about it!?! Go listen to your own music & just leave her alone... everyone's entitled to their opinions - my opinion is that Gaga is amazing. You may or may not agree. But there's no need to be nasty about it. She didn't steal from some all-girl band in Seoul. Just move on...

The music does sound the same, and so yes, that is what we call ripping off music. Ahh, but at the same time, who cares? Black Eyed Peas has made a career out of it and so have many others and its not stopping the drones from paying out the wazoo to see or hear them.

Lady Gaga is a name created by someone other than her, and her costumes maybe original or might not, her songs might sound like others and even her looks might remind you of another one moment or another...but guess what??? She is laughing her way to the bank, and the best bet is to learn from this business marketing dynamo at age 24 who has known since day one that if you WRITE SONGS FIRST FOR OTHER ARTISTS as she did, she is an artist, if you go to SCHOOL AND LEARN TO READ MUSIC you are an ARTIST and if you then go to the top after all that hard work, now you are NOT an artist??? Gaga is a true talented EDUCATED professional and those that slander her are just jealous...peace yall LGBT UP!

I bet you could find others to add to this group. The sad fact is that in much of today's music, beats are electronic (soulless and disposable), lyrics lack poetry, and melodies are thin. So much of it SOUNDS the same because so much of it IS the same. With the occasional exception, pop songs that matter pretty much went away in the 1980s. Madonna's own musical career is testimony to this devolution (from the estimable Papa Don't Preach to the bland Express Yourself to...). I feel sorry for you, kids: it's a teenage wasteland out there. Madonna and Gaga take themselves way too seriously. At least Katy Perry knows how to have fun.

Gaga can sing anything, I just love listening to her voice cuz it is beautiful. Her voice sounds a little like Cher. But Gaga is refreshing cuz her deepness understands life and at 24 or 50 most don't. She has an underlying way about her camaflauging with buddhism and hinduism. She has a lot of tantra wisdom and not in a sexual way.
Maybe born this way has a Madonna sound but bad romance and poker face and paparazzi are great songs that all were hits. She has made it with those first 6 hits, so she can do anything. Ya get it. Throwing the negative or jealousy card out will screw your own personal life up. Gaga is an educated professional in business and very talented on top of it. I like her voice, energy and karma.
