Renee Zellweger and Bradley Cooper Split

After two years of dating, Renee Zellweger and Bradley Cooper have called it quits. Sources close to the couple tell PEOPLE that the high wattage Hollywood couple have broken up.

Zellweger, 41, and Cooper, 36, began dating two years ago and moved in together last fall. They met six years ago on the set of film 'Case 39' but only started dating in 2009.

Their reps have no comment on the reported split.

Earlier this week, Cooper stopped by Howard Stern's Sirius XM radio show where he discussed his marriage to Jennifer Esposito and his overall feelings on marriage.

"It was just something that happened," Cooper said about his quick marriage [via UsMagazine.com]. "The good thing is, we both realized it ... Sometimes you just realize it. It just wasn't right. It's interesting ... things happen!"

When the talk show host asked if it turned him off of marriage for good, Cooper said that wasn't true. "Making any declarative statement [like that] is a joke," he said with a chuckle.

THAT IS A LOT OF BULL...WHO BELIEVES THAT HE NEVER WENT TO THE WELL FOR A DRINK BEFORE THEY GOT MARRIED...IF HE IS GAY, HE MAY HAVE THOUGHT RENEE COULD CHANGE ALL THAT...BUT A SURPRISE ON HER WEDDING NIGHT...PLEASE..GIVE ME A BREAK...THESE PEOPLE START BANGING RIGHT AFTER DESERT ON THEIR FIRST DATE

Ah, well: Life. Whether you are in a teen relationship, or on your third marriage, or are into serial monogamy as a practice, the end of a relationship is bittersweet at best, devastating at worst. It seems like Brad and Renee had a positive situation for a while, and at two years, it is best to fish or cut bait, as my grandmother liked to say. So, good for them for being as private as they possibly could be, and here's to each of them finding new love.

Yesterday it was reported they were happy. I stated here that Bradley should run away from Renee as fast as he can. Today, they are split. These relationships 9 out of 10 are put together by publicists.
Renee cited "fraud" with her marriage to Chesney which fueled his sexual attractions to men.If he closeted, and I think he is, she knew about it. Most actresses DO know about and vice versa. Gay & Lesbian couple in Hollywood who are actors do this all the time to ward off any speculation of their sexual orientation, becusae it does matter to the American public. Renee was mean spirited by publicly saying that.
I don't think there was any love there and if I were a str8 or gay man in Hollywood, I'd stay away from her as far as I could.

True! Agree. Kenny has been trying to hide it for years as does Randy Travis. Renee is the "Bearded Lady of Hollywood." She goes for gay men. She's never been in a serious relationship, maybe she has something to hide? I don't know about Bradley Cooper, but he has done the right thing by running away. I always had a vibe about those two that didn't seem real. I was correct.

There are 100's of Hollywood relationships that are put together to hide each other's sexual orientation. A power couple in Hollywood with a singing daughter and acting son (and the kids are very young) have the same arrangement, and it works for them.

Joey - you are talking about Will and Jada Smith. And Renee did have a relationship with Jim Carrey when they made Me, Myself and Irene together. Have never heard that Jim is gay so maybe she doesn't just go for gay guys.

Too much temptation for celebraties to have solid relationships. Physically beautiful people are plentiful and some of those movie scenes!! One would have to be a very strong person to watch your partner in some of those scenes and wonder if he/she can survive the chemistry--it would be a constant fear.

I feel sorry for Renee. Her biological clock is ticking. I am sure she secretly wanted to marry Bradley and have childen with him. Although many actresses are having 2 children, so many like Renee will wake up at 45 childless and have lost the chance to be a parent at a younger age. They don't know what they missed, but us Mom's do! No weddings for your children, grandchildren etc. in their future. They may be rich and famous, but they loose out on the best things in life..like being a parent.

re-sally Yes, she might eventually miss not having children & generational roots. Especially after the age of 40 when Tinsel Town careers start going south if your a woman. It's likely, however, that Zellweger is already set in her ways. If she's gone this far she'll go the rest of the way down the same path.

Frankly, I think it is very strange that Rene even became famous. She is such a funny looking person. Her cheeks make her look like a pocket gofer and those lips!
