Report: CBS Wants Charlie Sheen Back

If the prospect of 'Two and a Half Men' without
Charlie Sheen seemed like a weird idea to you, be assured that the folks at CBS were likely tying their stomachs in knots thinking about being one man down.
How do we know? Because, according to
RadarOnline, it appears that CBS wants Sheen to come back to 'Men,' with network honcho Les Moonves personally spearheading the negotiations to get him back.
"Moonves wants to get the show back on the air. He's all for it," a network insider told the site. "He says certain people need to forget anything and everything Charlie's done recently and just move on with the business at hand."
Basically, he wants his underlings at CBS and the folks at Warner Bros., the studio that produces the show and which fired Sheen earlier this month, to repair the fractured relationship between Sheen and producer Chuck Lorre. Jeff Rossen of NBC, whom Sheen called a
"rock star" after their infamous interview,
confirmed the negotiations from Sheen's side.
With buckets of money on the line -- not the least of which is the $100 million lawsuit Sheen filed against WB and Lorre -- it's pretty easy to try to let bygones be bygones in Hollywood. While a changed 'Men' might limp through a ninth and maybe even a 10th season, a Sheen-less show would not be nearly as attractive to advertisers and local stations bidding on the syndication rights.
There are still plenty of hoops that will need to be jumped through in order for this deal to happen, but the powers that be may have seen Sheen sell out his stage show -- including a night at the 6,000-seat Radio City Music Hall in New York -- and realized that even a loopy Sheen still has some serious draw.

Another case of Hollywood rewarding bad behavior.
I think they should bring back the show "Men Behaving Badly", and have Sheen as the only performer!

Only a tool would support Sheen at this point, but, that's just what's watching television these days...tools. Read a book you clowns. Learn to write as well.

Supply him with all the drugs he wants, then broadcast it as he over doses on national television. Winning!

Way, way, way too much money at stake here, both in making new shows and the reruns...they'll make up with each other and things will return as they were for the rest of the contract with Sheen...like him or not, that's the way it is...don't like him? Don't watch the show...

Who cares what he does with his private life. As long as he shows up does the show and entertains us go for it. If you don't like him don't watch. If you are upset don't buy the products that advertise. Plenty of us will. It's a show!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is really pathetic people!!! How low can you go? I don't find that amusing...watching someone self-destruct for entertainment. Those that do would have made great Romans.

You're confusing a SHOW with REAL LIFE. The SHOW is entertaining... what he does in his real life is his business and has nothing to do with the SHOW. It's his job to run his personal life not ours or the producers'.
Charlie Sheen should keep his pants on. He cannot serve two gods. Plus, by keeping his pants on he will be thinking with his big head and not the little head. The little head has only one eye and can't see.

There IS no show without Charlie Sheen. He's an actor... it's a show... why should we worry about what he's doing in real life... who cares???

Took that popeater pole vote thing and the results don't seem to match! All the ticket sellout for his performances, even to the Radio City show dosen't jive. Folks say they don't want him to return to Two and a half men nor would they watch a late night show staring him. Yet, there he is, "WINNING"! Sure, I would watch it - just like I'm watching the reruns. Sorry! I got a kick out of the show to see how the 'Twist of fate' screwed Uncle Charlie once again and again and again! Ha!

Seriously, if no one thinks all of this is a publicity stunt, then I really do wonder about the future of our existence as a whole. This whole thing has been for nothing but the ratings. Sad.

you guys that hate Charlie make me sick, get off your high horses and realize that without Charlie this show will be a flop, it is all publicity to make money and was probably Lorre's idea. Charlie haters need to go away and stay off of any news that is part of this publicity stunt. Can you say, Winning??????

Where is your backbone CBS? Where is your character? He trashes everyone and everything and you want him back and plan on paying him. He is a loser and a slime ball. How distasteful of you.
No wonder our society is in the toilet. I don't watch programs where the actors behave badly in real life, so I don't care about the program at all.
