Experts: Lindsay Lohan's Hard Partying Could Trigger a Relapse

Lindsay Lohan sure had a doozy of a night last Wednesday. Even though the troubled starlet claims she is in NYC for some R&R with her fam, it has been the club scene and reality stars who have commanded most of her attention. She may have been chugging back water all night, but her decision to jump right back into the kinds of places that have gotten her into trouble in the past could spell danger for Li-Lo, addiction experts tell PopEater.

According to the New York Post, Lohan partied with a posse that included 'The City' star Samantha Swetra and Next Models booker Derek Saathoff. She went clubbing at SL, where she hopped in the booth with DJ Phresh.

She then headed over to 1Oak, where she was reportedly making out with some random dude.

"People, places and things can all be triggers for a relapse," Dr. Paul Hokemeyer, a marriage and family therapist with Caron Treatment Centers, tells PopEater. "Even if she is technically still sober -- that kind of behavior can lead a person back to their old unhealthy habits."

It certainly seems like Lohan is slinking back to her old ways. She also had a reported rendezvous with her ex, Samantha Ronson, but judging from the tonsil hockey she was playing later that night, things probably didn't go the way she had planned.

If Lohan is trying to prove that she has moved past her hard partying ways, showing up to some of NYC's hottest and most notorious dens of gossip was not the way to do it. Of course, she may not realize she has other options.

"The media tends to overly glamorize the alcohol and drug-fueled party scene," says Hokemeyer. "I work with both sober and actively using young adults. Trust me, the sober ones are having the most fun and are accomplishing their dreams. In fact, there's this whole subculture of clean and sober young adults who navigate life in New York City with more style and energy than the intoxicated ones."

Sorry but I have to believe there is no hope for this one. She has relapsed so many times, she'll do it again. Simply because of the fact that she's surround by enablers. Also that the Hollywood scene is nothing buy drugs and alcohol, if you've not in it, you're not part of it.

this woman does not care about anything, until shes put behind bars for anything, then shes going to test the waters and see what she can get away with, and id sure like to know how on probation she can get away with going into bars.

Why doesnt the court order a curfew of 10 pm on her while on probation? or is she not on probation anymore? She shouldnt be allowed 500 ft to a bar or club. that may help her.

If the photo above is current ,she is really looking bad, guess the guidelines set for her do not apply. She will be back in jail or rehab soon, just pray she does not drive and drink or do drugs and end up killing someone. Doubt if that would even be a lesson for here. After all is above the law. I truly feel rehab will not do the trick , she needs serious prison time.

Won't be long before we're reading her obituary. I like how the news reporters on channel 5 in Los Angeles call her a "former child star." Makes me laugh. They know she's washed up. Anyone want to start a pool on when she croaks?

Experts say. That's funny. High school drop out knows she is this close to getting smashed again. Expert my big toe. I mean Ted Baxter makes that conclusion. Good thing Popeater checked with an expert on addictive behavior. LOL.

How old is she? Less than 25? A healthy, beautiful, young woman with no reason to sit home nights. She has no mate, no kids, no job that she has to go to every morning. She has money to go out. What do you think she should do? Sit home and read, watch TV.
