Fans React to 'All My Children' Cancellation Rumor

While the ABC soap 'All My children' may get the ax for sagging ratings, you wouldn't know that from the outpouring of support for the show by fans on our Facebook page.

Fans took to our page to share their outrage about the potential cancellation.

Jacqueline Torres: NO WAY!!! I've been watching all my children since I was a kid, it's one of the one I've loved. All they need to do is move it back to NY and change the storyline back to the way it was and all should be fine.

Glee Jurgens: Say it ain't so !? I've watched for over 25 years and why do they only poll the younger set. Us 70+ folks should count too !!

Some fans, however, were not shocked by the recent turn of events.

Danita Ellison: I could definitely sleep without All My Children.....The actors/actresses are to old now.....It is not as exciting as it was years ago....My Opinion!!!! All My Great Great Great Grandchildren...........

Amy Bragg: I have watched AMC for many years too, but somehow it doesn't surprise me. The story lines have not been exciting lately and they haven't been listening to their fans. I would much rather see them rev up the show with some exciting new story-lines and characters than to cancel the show.

The announcement from ABC about the fate of 'All My Children' could come as soon as today or tomorrow.

I watch AMC everyday single day, and NO has ever asked me or polled me....AMC needs to stay put abc!

I go home everyday for lunch and watch AMC. I have been watching for over 25 years. I also wasn't ask if I was watching.

AMC moved to California? I thought the show was in New York.

I barely watch the show but I hope that Y & R and B & B are not canceling no time soon.

they moved to Cali i think the end of 2010 .. and Y & R and B & B aren't ABC soaps so you'll have to check with their station provider on that one.

I think it's time to give it yhe axe. The storylines aren't exciting and they keep bringing back people...even dead ones.

Yes the storylines really need to be changed, plots enhanced, and not be the predictable phrases all the time. But canceling is wrong. I have watched this show since the day it started.

There was a time that AMC was my favorite soap. However,I gave up on it several years ago. It just got boring. They needed to retire Susan Lucci, a no talent actress, years ago. I lost interest in her when she decided to change her voice to a breathless one. The writers should check in with General Hospital which keeps you watching day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year.

Watched all My Children since I was a child and was always one of my favs but have to say I don't think much of the young actors on the show now. The older ones are the talent and need to get stories that work. Sick of kendal getting in trouble for this or that and the David character he should be banned for even being a actor. Get down and dirty and more real to life stories.

i agree w/u! it's always kendal getting in trouble. and....greenleen and ryan has been the same ole-same ole for years, and tired of ryans mr.hero buddinsky antics, and jack and ericas same ole romance and " the foreever nutcase" annie... the list goes on... it needs a dire revamp in writing cast. i use to watch it everyday,now i can miss a week and not miss anything really new.

I say AMC needs to get GOOD writers on board and get back to its roots and it should be back in contention. Daytime TV as a whole is down though which is not a shock due to the decline in number of stay at home mom's. It's a legendary soap that I'll be crushed to see go...

AMC moving to cali shouldnt have anything @ all to do with their ratings. im tired of kendall and that story line and erica and jack-erica is just too fake for me. now all they are doing are chasing little children around on the show..soap operas are supoose to be larger than life-an escape from the real world, full of lust and love and intrigue-whoever is in charge right now-just isnt doing their job-NEXT....

I hope they do not take All My Childern off i can only watch it during the day since Time Warren did away with Soap Net so please do not take it off it is a really good soap i have watched it for a long time

I have watched AMC since 1975, once it moved to L.A. the story lines got very lame and have lost interest to me.
