Video: Kirstie Alley Surprises With a Great Cha-Cha-Cha on 'Dancing With the Stars'

Kendra Wilkinson may have had the oddsmakers in her corner before this new season of 'Dancing with the Stars,' but it was Kirstie Alley that had us all eating out of her hands with an irreverent cha-cha-cha.

Along with her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Alley brought a lot of fun and silliness to the dance floor. Even more impressively, she brought foot placement that Bruno Tonioli declared "the best of the night."

Also the best was their score of 23 in the cha-cha-cha category (Wilkinson scored only 18). In fact, only Ralph Macchio's fox trot was stronger, and that by only one point. Watch the video below.

It was an impressive debut for Alley. Her moves were so smooth and strong, she had Carrie Ann Inaba asking if she was really over 40. "Way!" said the 60-year-old Alley.

"That was unbelievable," Inaba said.

Kirstie Alley was very good! I like how she brought humor to the dance while staying within the lines of the cha cha cha dance.She and Maks danced solid. She stayed in tune with the rhythm of the music with the live band. Ralph had the better performance, but Kirstie was solid. And I liked Kendra's dance as well as Hines and one or two others.

I am not a fan of Kirstie Alley. I've always thought she was loud and annoying. HAVING SAID THAT ... I was VERY impressed with her dancing tonight on DWTS! In spite of the fact that she is overweight, she is surprisingly graceful and light on her feet!

I started out hoping she would dance horribly so she'd get voted off and go home!! But now I'm actually looking forward to next week to see how she does!! Go figure!
