Brad Womack's Ex Reveals His 'Scary' Temper to Life & Style

Brad Womack may have won Emily Maynard's heart on the most recent season of 'The Bachelor,' but all she'll get from him is heartbreak, according to his ex.
Womack's former girlfriend, Laurel Kagay, who dated the Austin-based entrepreneur on and off for eight years before ending their relationship in 2010, says that Womack's temper will ruin his relationship with Maynard.
"He would sometimes yell, really loud, to the point that he would almost start throwing things," describes Kagay of her relationship with Womack. "It was scary."
While Kagay was often afraid in his presence, she says that Womack would follow up their fights with apologies and lavish gifts, including over-the-top floral arrangements and pricey purses, until she agreed to take him back.
Experts have already
suggested that Womack and Maynard's relationship hasn't been the romantic courtship they would have the public believe, and even Womack
admitted, "It hasn't been a fairy tale."
Now, a source close to the pair says that their engagement will definitely be short-lived: "
Brad knows it's over," the friend tells Life & Style. "They're together at the moment, but Brad has the feeling he's about to get dumped."
Even if they stick it out, Womack needs to address his anger issues before it's too late.
"I just want Emily to realize that he needs some sort of help," says Kagay. "He can't do it on his own."

Emily would be wise to dump Brad now. If he is emotionally abusive aka has a so-called bad temper at the honeymoon phase of the relationship think about what he could turn into when the relationships is at a lower point.
Emotional abuse often proceeds physical abuse. Brad must get help for his problem. Perhaps, Brad can use his anger/abuse problem to bring forth the issue of emotional abuse in relationships as it is a very serious issue that many couples silently endure.

Brad obviously has issues - we've given him 2 chances with 50 women and he still can't get it right. Emily, think of your daughter and cut your losses honey. You deserve much better than this egomaniac. And if ABC gives him a 3rd chance, they're as crazy as he is.

Does anyone see a pattern with the men from Austin having anger issues...If a study was done for that geographical area I think it would be revealing....and how do they all manage to get away withthat behaviour sans responsibility...

Why do you say that about the men in Austin? Are you from Austin? I am a Texas girl and I can tell you that is crap!!! Get your facts straight. This fool may have anger issues, but that does not mean that all men from Austin have bad tempers. What an uneducated statement to make!!!
I think that Emily is a smart cookie and a good mother. She has said numerous times that she needs to start a "real" relationship with Brad. Brad obviously is familiar with counseling and needs to work on the temper if it true. I think this would all work if everyone just left them alone...!

Educated and Informed... just personal experience observation unfortunately seeing far to many women caught up in situations in Austin with Austin men being angry both emotionally and physically and being allowed to legally get away with it..i.e. "The Good Old Boys Club".....You obviously are fortunate enough to have someone who is NOT in that group of man..happy to know you do and that is somewhat redeemable but not enough to change MY opinion....

I think that's a pretty broad statement. Austin has a huge population...Doesn't sound that informed and educated to me... Maybe the women you know that have been in this situation says more about the people you form friendships with than it does the men in Austin....
Is it so hard to believe just by his appearance on that show and the endless need to feed his ego that he has issues with security and self-worth? The mere fact it took a national television show and two appearances with over forty women to vie for his attention and approval would be enough to demonstrate the package may be nice but this is definitely damaged goods!

I hope that Charlie returns to his show 2 1/2 Men..It wouldn't be the same without him. Anyone with a half a brain should know that. Look at it's huge success since it first aired. The whole enite cast is amazing; Taking out the lead role would just hurt the show and the ratings. And isn't what the Producers and Directors worry about the most ? the ratings? Who cares what Charlie says or Does off screen, As long as he performs that should only matter. Now 41 % would like to see Charlie return; However only 20% said they would watch a late show with Charlie, Even the average person voting on these polls are lying; Why say you want to see him back on the show if you say you're not going to watch a late night show with him on? regardless of his antics; He seems normal one moment then he looks like a raving lunitic the next. "Remember, Charlie is a Master Performer. I wouldn't be a bit surprised at all, If he is faking this drama Just to prove a point to the Media and to the rest of the viewers. He isa a brilliant actor regardless what critics think. Even if he doesn't return to 2 1/2 Men; He will land other roles that will show case his talents again whether be on the small screen or Silver Screen. Charlier don't worry you do have a large base fans who support you. Through the good and dark times.

You could see it on the show that he has a temper and even when he was talking to the women he could never look them in the face, the guy is a looser.

lololololololol....re referencing Brad as an entrepreneur....He's a bar own in a college town. That's it.
And, at 38, he's an old man dealing with this young, firm, chicks.
He's a loser, folks.

seriously Emily is "not that sweet"...no woman is that "innocent" as far as Brad goes, he has anger issues but at least he is seeking help w/a therapist...what is Emily doing to control her "skank" issues?

This guy has had a very long bachelor life and obviously his temper and anger have contributed to this situation. The woman he is with now has a young child; the last thing she needs to do is burden her daughter with man who cannot control his anger. Take good advice and dump him NOW. Not that you appear to be unaware of problems, Emily, you are a smart woman despite appearing on this lousy show.

The ex says their relationship ended in 2010 and they were in a relationship for 8 years. How long ago did he make his first appearance on the bachelor? From my calculations the man was in a relationship already when he appeared the first time. That tells me something right there..Player!

This woman, Emily Maynard is terrific. The first time I looked at Brad I could tell he is a shallow dude on one or more levels.Anger management issues is code for abusive manipulative type.Uses anger and demeaning remarks to make people feel less than adequate as a control tool.

THEY SHOULD BE LEFT ALONE TO DETERMINE IF THEY ARE GOOD FOR EACH OTHER. THE PAST IS THE PAST - MAYBE THE CHEMISTRY WAS NOT THERE WITH THE EX - - IT WOULD BE WONDERFUL TO SEE TO INDIVIDUALS HAVE A "NORMAL" START AT A RELATIONSHIP...CLEARLY HE KNOWS WHAT HE WANTS..AND SHE IS SO FEARFUL OF RELATIONSHIPS AFTER THE INTENSE HURT SHE EXPERIENCED - REMEMBER SHE WAS YOUNG AND IN LOVE - A TOUGH SPOT TO FILL. I PRAY THE BEST FOR BOTH, AS WE ALL SHOULD.

Really, what a 5 year old DOES NOE NEED is to witness a violent temper, but of course, no one is putting this child first.
