Brad Womack's Ex Reveals His 'Scary' Temper to Life & Style

Brad Womack may have won Emily Maynard's heart on the most recent season of 'The Bachelor,' but all she'll get from him is heartbreak, according to his ex.

Womack's former girlfriend, Laurel Kagay, who dated the Austin-based entrepreneur on and off for eight years before ending their relationship in 2010, says that Womack's temper will ruin his relationship with Maynard.

"He would sometimes yell, really loud, to the point that he would almost start throwing things," describes Kagay of her relationship with Womack. "It was scary."

While Kagay was often afraid in his presence, she says that Womack would follow up their fights with apologies and lavish gifts, including over-the-top floral arrangements and pricey purses, until she agreed to take him back.

Experts have already suggested that Womack and Maynard's relationship hasn't been the romantic courtship they would have the public believe, and even Womack admitted, "It hasn't been a fairy tale."

Now, a source close to the pair says that their engagement will definitely be short-lived: "Brad knows it's over," the friend tells Life & Style. "They're together at the moment, but Brad has the feeling he's about to get dumped."

Even if they stick it out, Womack needs to address his anger issues before it's too late. "I just want Emily to realize that he needs some sort of help," says Kagay. "He can't do it on his own."

You stay for eight years and you get over the top flower arranments and high dollar purses to stay. Isn't that kind of like prostitution??

I do believe Brad has a problem. He can't seem to express himself properly. I didn't like him on the first show and he was worse on the second. I couldn't understand how any of those girls could be attracted to him. He is just a weirdo.

Give me a break here. People are typing all the stuff about Brad and his anger issues or whatever. If he is all that "BAD" why in the hell did his ex stay with him for 8 years. She is just spouting out all the negativity because Emily has him and she dosen't. His ex is what I call a sore loser.

She stayed with Brad for eight years. That to me says "Water seeks it's level." She must be one fighting fury, and like a lot of drama to put up with Brads temperment for eight years. All the flowers and pocketbooks in the world would not keep a person that want's peace and stability in their life tied to a person like Brad. Didn't I just say if a man does not marry you within the first year, or year and a half, Your waisting fancy underwear. Eight years she stayed with hopes and dreams, and i'm betting a few knocks upside the head. Darn Fool.

No, Betty, it will not be a different story.........I was married to a Brad and he was the same narcisistic sociopath that Brad is. His behavior is NOT acceptable......when will women wake up and realize their worth and not waste a moment with these damaged men that refuse to get help?

Brad is a sicko that needs more therapy and anger management. If his fiance marries him she is crazy, especially since she is the mother of a young, impressionable child.

Why should anyone believe his ex? Who knows what kind of person she is? She stayed with him a long time for him to be as "bad" as she says. Was she a glutton for punishment or what? Her story sounds like a jealous ex spewing to me. Waaaa-boo-hoo!!!

There are no individuals perfect, and it takes two to make a relationship work, Brad may have issues but his ex stayed in that situation for 8 years, also Emily has set the bar so high for any new men entering her life that no one will ever live up to the bar. And she has been doing this for 6 years, so its obvious they both have issues and won't work unless they get help together.

HI eveyrone...well, to tell you the truth, I wonder about Emily and her "hidden agenda" - ever notice that whenever it looks like she is crying that you never see an actual tear? I noticed that during the entire episode she was on, and also the recent interview with chris harrison - tabloids say "emily weeps" - I heard sniffeling, but I never saw one tear...makes you wonder, hmmmmmmmm
