Forgiven: ABC Won't Press Charges Against Chris Brown; 'DWTS' Still On

It would appear ABC is in a forgiving mood. The network has reportedly decided not to press charges against hot-tempered crooner
Chris Brown for an
alleged violent outburst following a 'Good Morning America' visit on Tuesday. Not only that, but they have also reportedly decided that they still want Brown to appear on 'Dancing With the Stars' next week.
Brown stormed off the 'GMA' set after anchor Robin Roberts quizzed him gently on his 2009 assault conviction against ex-girlfriend Rihanna. He then reportedly retreated to his dressing room where he broke a window and tore his shirt off. An ABC insider told PopEater that "everyone was terrified" by Brown's actions.
The accusations of vandalism arose suspicion that Brown may have broken his probation for his attack on Rihanna. But network sources tell
TMZ that ABC has decided to let this one slide and not pursue a complaint.
Further, the network has confirmed with
EW that they still want Brown to promote his hot-selling album, 'F.A.M.E.,' on 'Dancing With the Stars' next week. The move is sure to upset many who were calling on ABC to nix his appearance.
"This sort of behavior is not acceptable from anyone no matter how talented or famous they might be," a rival network executive told PopEater columnist Rob Shuter on Tuesday. "'Dancing With the Stars' is one of the biggest shows on TV, and if they do decide to allow him to promote his music on it he should definitely be asked to say sorry for throwing a chair and smashing a window."
During the 'GMA' interview to promote the album, Brown told Roberts, "It's not really a big deal to me now, as far as that situation. I think I'm past that in my life. Today's the album day, so that's what I'm focused on."
TMZ reports that Brown was screaming when he entered his dressing room, which prompted nearby hair and makeup artists to call security.
Soon after, Brown unleashed a right hook -- this time the victim was his dressing room window. Pieces of glass from the shattered window reportedly fell to the sidewalk below. When security finally arrived, shirtless Brown had already left the building.
Just one month ago, Rihanna's restraining order against Brown was lifted, and Brown was even commended at his hearing for his excellent anti-violence program progress. But from his behavior, it looks like Brown may have been doodling instead of listening during class.

So if Bristol Palin had won it would have ruined and disgraced the show but a woman beater can still appear...Either Popeaters scoops are pathetic or ABC has some really screwed values..Most likely both

Chris Brown is a WIMP. A girl beater would NEVER hit a man. Chris Brown is very AFRAID to hit a man for he knows what another man would do to him.
I for one will NOT be watching Dancing with the Stars! He is a tool bag and is getting away with this because of who he is!

REALLY? BUT I BET YOU THINK CHARLIE SHEEN IS JUST WONDERFUL RIGHT" YOU HYPOCRITE!!!
If you watch Dancing with the Star before why would you not watch it now. That is like cutting off your nose in spite of your face. You probably do not watch the program anyways. As for Chris Brown he was wrong!!!! What I can't stand is how he is getting such sh*t, when Mel Gibson and Charlie Sheen can get away with anything! I am white, but I can see a real color issue here.
@Laurie: Sheen's pretty much been blacklisted, CBS wanted him back but Warner wouldn't let that happen considering they deal with CBS. Research is your friend.
CB- you are an idiot. I'm not surprised that you are a chris brown fan...
think i'll just skip dwts that nite. rewarding bad behavior is just wrong

they were bothering him. I would have gone off too. The same old thing give me a break.
Oh puhleez people can't we just move on??! Chris was as wrong as two left shoes for what he did to Rihanna, but he paid his dues - even though there are still people who feel like it wasn't enough of a payment. Charlie Sheen's picture is practically in the dictionary under "woman beater", yet some are petitioning for his job back....uhm hello??!! Rihanna wasn't exactly blameless in this for her behavior (how long can you keep smackin' a man cause he's on the phone or snatching the cell phone out of his hand). Sorry...but Robin shouldn't have 'gone there'; besides it's old news.

The only person wrong here is Chris Brown. Robin is a reporter, who is black by the way, and was doing her job. No mention of Charlie Sheen or anyone else as the subject is Chris Brown and his behavior. I feel sorry for you if you cannot see this and want to blame others who are not involved. Take responsibility for your own behavior and stop playing the race card to cover up bad behavior. Don't watch him, I play on not watching. Bad behavior should never be rewarded no matter what color you are.
Yeah, what he did to Rihanna was wrong, and just because he's a celebrity doesn't make it right. But the law gave him what he deserved. What isn't right, was the fact that the interviewer continuously was badgering him about an incident that happened 2 years ago. I, myself would have gotten up and said "F this." during the interview. He answered the question and tried turning the focus on what he was there for..his album. He sat there and kept cool on camera. I'm not even a Chris Brown fan and I think the interviewer should have let up. She wanted to focus on the negative rather then the positive. Maybe he shouldn't have punched the window, but I would've looked the lady in the face and told her to screw off.

Ashley you are right she shouldn't of done that. It was wrong, who wants to be reminded of something they did 2 years ago. He should of cursed the reporter out. She needs to mind her business. Now they are trying to make it seems like he is a angry person. I would be pissed off too.
I would have thrown him in the slammer with the rest of the worlds idiots!!!

I guess you'd be in there with him then.
Like none of ya'll ever got upset in your life please give me damn break! He's human just like us all. How dare anybody define him for 1 incident with as many child molesters, wife beaters, serial murderers out there. As much as people hounding hm about what no wonder he got upset hell it's been over 2 years ago let it go!
