Westboro Picks Elizabeth Taylor Funeral for Next Publicity Stunt

Those charming souls at Westboro Baptist Church have chosen Elizabeth Taylor's funeral to be the site of their next publicity stunt, a daughter of WBC Pastor Fred Phelps has announced.

In post after post on Twitter, Margie Phelps chortled condemnations to members of the media who were sending out tweets regarding Taylor's death and she promised that the congregation -- mostly folks with the last name Phelps -- will picket the funeral.

"Her whoredoms enabled filthy f**s! She now answers for her gr8 sin in hell!" she tweeted to Perez Hilton. To ABC's Jake Tapper, she wrote, "No peace for whore who taught proud sin! Too late for her to repent!"

The "God Hates [insert anything, really]" church presumably dislikes Taylor for her advocacy for AIDS/HIV research.

Taylor's funeral will likely take place in Los Angeles. Details have not been announced.

Lately Margie Phelps has been focusing her efforts on hatin' Lady Gaga, who like Taylor, is a friend to the gay community. They also got into a tiff with Ozzy Osbourne, who objected to their use of his hit 'Crazy Train' during their protests of gays in the military.

Those people aren't Baptists and it's certainly not a church. It's a business run by a bunch of ambulance-chasing lawyers who sit around trying to think of the most outrageous things to do to offend people so they can be threatened or attacked and then sue. They're laughing all the way to the bank. They know exactly what they're doing.

I believe their safety is in jeopardy. One day, they are going to go too far. They just won a Supreme Court case brought by a father who sued them for picketing his soldier son's funeral.

I'm convinced these people are all inbred lunatics. They should be locked up in a rubber house with no access to Bibles.

This just goes to show that there are extremist in all religions who take their good books out of context and read what they deem fit into their beliefs. Ignorance breeds more ignorance and extremist breeds more extremist. Sad these types of cults don't truly understand the harm they cause the innocent.

Calling this group a church is like calling Tom Cruise TALL!! Just not true! They preach hate and are nothing more than the pharisees- they see only what they want to see and condemn all others! They do NOT represent CHRIST the Savior in ANY way or form. While we all are held accountable for our sins, Jesus is our judge. If we repent and claim His promise of salvation, we will be saved- period! Nothing else needed! He saw the woman at the well and told her what she was but then offered her salvation anyway! He loves all of his precious creations! This church is off base and disgusting.

I really have to agree with everything you say Kat Wuman. I just think that it is horrible how these so called christians vilify and insult people. God is love, and He loves all His children, even them. God made all of us in His image. He may not be too happy with our choices, but, He allows us to repent and ask forgiveness. Unfortunately, as a mother of a soldier, it is hard for me to hear how they try to hurt the families of the soldiers they are protesting. They are not hurting the soldiers because the soldiers are with God now. They should all remember "Judge not, lest ye be judged." God will take care of them in His own way and time.

i really dont concider myself a very religous person , i do believe in GOD (not church) and this is exactly one of the reasons why i dont belive in church. i dont know about you but my GOD isnt a mean and this is deffinetly(spelling)mean. miss taylor helped alot of people thru the aids foundation and probably other means of charitys.these people have no right to call themselves children of GOD.
