Chris Brown stopped by BET's '106 and Park' Wednesday to apologize for his violent outburst on the 'Good Morning America' set Tuesday morning following an interview.
"First of all, I want to apologize to anybody who was startled in the office, anybody who was offended or really disappointed in my actions because I was disappointed in the way I acted," he said of the incident at ABC.
Brown allegedly lost his temper after an interview with ABC's Robin Roberts didn't go as he expected. Following the interview, in which Roberts brought up a restraining order issued by ex-girlfriend Rihanna, Brown reportedly broke a window in the studio and ripped off his shirt.
"A lot of people don't know what went down," he continued. "When I do shows or when I do interviews, we send out like a talking point sheet. And if the network or whoever isn't compliant with what we want to do so that we can equally accomplish a goal, we usually kind of back out."
Brown has been making the press rounds to promote his new album, 'F.A.M.E.,' which was released this week.
"Everything that was sent to me was about the album. That's what we were talking about," he said of the interview. "So when the interview proceeded, I was thrown off. I felt like, 'OK, they told us this to get us on the show and exploit me.'"
"I took it very, very hard," he said of his reaction. "I kept my composure throughout the whole interview ... And when I got back I just let off steam in the back. I didn't physically hurt anyone. I just wanted to release the anger inside me. I got very emotional." He added his frustration came from all the hard work he put into his album.
According to a statement released by ABC News, Brown's claim that there were approved topics before the interview isn't quite accurate.
"Chris Brown was invited on 'Good Morning America' to perform and to be interviewed. There were no talking points offered," ABC said in the statement.
No charges will be filed against Brown. He is still schedule to perform next week on 'Dancing With the Stars' on ABC, and has since been invited back on 'Good Morning America.'

I agree his anger issues do need to be addressed, but the fiasco with Rhianna is history. He paid his dues & quite frankly, she is no angel by any means. I could actually see her throwing the first punch. Did they really have to bring it all up again??? All he wanted to do was start over. Bad interview done in bad taste.
Maybe so Mo, but most of them don't beat the crap out of their girlfriends. Anger is a recurring issue with this guy and he will get into bigger trouble one of these days, mark my words.
Any man whos idea of 'releasing the anger' is by acting like no mannered little boy, is no man at all. Chris has had his second chance and the guy lost it, again. His parents didnt do a very good job at raising him. The guy cant handle anything with out violence. Everyone deserves a second chance, this was Chris's second. Chris has a lot of problems, thats clear to see. Its sad and pathetic, that anyone feels the need to lose all control. Chris is a danger to all around him, if their a lady. These kinds of 'men' only feel strong, when they are hurting a woman, not much of a man or they?
I don't condone his past behavior but the interviewer clearly wouldn't back off. I would of point blank told her to stop, he tried to be nice and she kept pushing. Bad.
its amazing how many of you are willing to forgive this guy, its obvious he has failed to learn how to deal with his anger. what if someone was walking under the window he broke? he should have been prosecuted for this, just as the rhianna situation.
I would say that he is under a lot of stress. He probably needs to be on medication, as long as he doesn't get addicted. I heard that Robin Roberts really pushed him. He wants to put Rhianna in the past.
The fact that Brown still can not control his anger iw not out there for everyone to see. What happened 2 years ago is still an issue. If he could have answered the questions with some maturity then it shows he has grown and matured. His display showed he still just does not get it. Punk. I will not watch DWTS if is is on.

Absolutely no reputable reporter would have avoided asking Brown these questions. If he's unable to handle them, then he should stop doing interviews.

He'll probably have even more women lining up backstage hoping he'll take them back to his room now.
