Zsa Zsa Gabor Hospitalized Following Elizabeth Taylor's Death

Word of legendary actress and friend Elizabeth Taylor's death upset Zsa Zsa Gabor so much that she had to be hospitalized with high blood pressure. According to her publicist John Blanchette, Gabor, upon hearing the news on television, replied, "Oh, Jane Russell and Liz Taylor -- I'm next."

The 94-year-old Hungarian actress has been plagued with health problems for some time. She was rushed to the hospital with a blood clot late last year. Then, months later, a lesion from an infected bone forced doctors to amputate part of her right leg. In March, she was rushed to the hospital again when blood flow to her left leg stopped, but she refused a second surgery to amputate it.

Gabor's comment stemmed from the superstition that celebrity deaths occur in threes, but Blanchette scoffed at the implication, saying, "She's not going to be the third."

Gabor became famous for roles in film and television including 'Moulin Rouge' and 'Matinee Theater,' but, like Taylor, became infamous for her string of marriages. She was once married to hotel magnate Conrad Hilton and admitted she had an affair with her stepson Nicky Hilton when he was 17 and she was still married to his father. Nicky went on to become Taylor's first husband.

I don't mean to sound, well...mean........but why does Zsa Zsa always turn things around to make them about *her*? I know that she's elderly, not well, and I truly feel sorry for her, but what a little drama queen! She's understandably upset and I'm sure a little frightened, but she should be reflecting on her friend's life and offering her condolences!

because she is very, very old. People revert back to childhood when we were all selfconsumed. I think the ole gal is doing ok and should be appreciated for attaining such an age.
But don't you think that might be why?

What annoys me the most about this is that everything we hear is through the husband, who is a known liar. Like 'gailneuman' said, she was apparently unaware of her surroundings and couldn't recognize her own doctor, but now she is watching TV and screaming "I'm next!". You can't believe any of the news about Zsa Zsa Gabor, hers is the most dysfunctional family in Bel Air.

The woman has had her leg amputated and they want to amputate the other one. Sick is sick no matter who you are or how much money you have. Who ever said "Drama Queen" is an idiot.

Whew! Looks like Zsa Zsa will do anything in order to grab the spotlight,eh? But this one is crossing the line. Ok,I'm no doctor but high blood pressure doesn't always require hospitalization but then,we ARE talkin' about Zsa Zsa! She's probably been "hospitalized" for an in grown toe nail at some point!
