As Lady Gaga continues to put the finishing touches on her upcoming album, the pop singer gave fans a treat Thursday by releasing a country version of her hit song, 'Born This Way.'Gaga made the unexpected announcement via Twitter, writing, "Surprise Monsters!: 'Born This Way' (The Country Road Version) will be released on Twitter tomorrow at 12am PST/3am EST 3/25."
The original version of the song, which was released in February, was an immediate hit, though Gaga has come under fire for its similarities to Madonna's 1989 hit 'Express Yourself.'

Not a big fan of the original version as it sounds to much like other songs but this country version really rocks ! Way to go , GaGa , our love / hate relationship is back on the love setting . Kudos.

BBC Radio 1 already did a country version of "Born This Way" as a joke when Lady Gaga released the lyrics to the song. Copying a superstar like Madonna is one thing, but a satellite radio host??
I think this proves just how universal she is. I like both versions.

The message will be lost on the country audience.

booooo!!!
I agree.....no talent. Just a freak show at best.
Country? Not so much - more like light rock. The harmonica is what makes it country? Not even, disappointed in this song. It takes a lot more to make a country song - what a slap in the face to country. No good Gaga, no good!I love every other Gaga song/album this version is just not a keeper.

It's a hell of a lot more country than that no-talent hack Taylor Swift! Taylor's music is watered-down, sanitized pop that just happens to have a Southern accent. Personally, I like Gaga's foray into country music. It worked for Bon Jovi, didn't it?
5 years from now this no talent freakshow bum will be on a slab or in the nuthouse.

5 yrs? talk about optimism. Does she really think that country music lovers are going to accept her as a country singer? What kind of drugs is she on, I want some of those!!!
Obviously you're keeping her spot warm, aren't you genius?
finally.....someone with taste. The woman is a one man freak show. There's a lot of talented people out there but she ain't one of them. you don't see real talent relying on theatrics like showing up in an egg. The shock treatment has been done by so many people it no longer has an effect. Her talent sure isn't enough to carry the show on it's own.
She copied another song. Its a joke.
